January 10, 201610 yr We also saw that AJ has a chance to be a solid starting QB at some point but there's no question this is Andy Dalton's spot.
January 10, 201610 yr The Steelers backup QB, Landry Jones deserved a penalty for that awful mustache he had. He looked like a 70s porn star.
January 10, 201610 yr Brown is in the concussion protocol phase and his status for next week is "TBD."
January 10, 201610 yr As I think back on the game, I believe the turning point and where the refs and Bengals lost control was the Shazier hit on Bernard. Up to that point, this was looking like a classic battle. That play was an obvious penalty with Shazier lowering his head and leading with his helmet, plus helmet to helmet. The refs don't throw a flag. From that point on, the refs lost control of the game and the Bengals lost control of themselves.

The Bengals might have the opportunity to parlay AJ into some significant draft picks if they so choose, IMO. Not sure they'd want to do that, but think he acquitted himself well enough to warrant consideration by another franchise as a starter. Anyone else agree?

January 10, 201610 yr When does a guy become a runner? Just asking. It's probably one of those "know it when I see it." He was a runner at the point of contact. However, in doing some reading on the current rules, it sure seems like it should have been a penalty for leading with the crown of the helmet. Had his shoulder pads clocked him the helmet it would not nor should have been a penalty because he was a runner. However, it seems the "crown" rule trumps all of that.

I wouldn't until he gets too expensive. It's a QB league. I'll take depth at that position.
January 10, 201610 yr Anyone besides me think that maybe the real difference-maker was Shazier? PFF gave him the highest grade by far. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2016/01/10/pro-pit-cin-grades-ryan-shazier-stars-in-steelers-win/
