January 10, 201610 yr What about the no call on the hit Eifert took in the first quarter, when the DB literally launched off his feet and hit Eifert right in the chin... Terrible no-call.
January 10, 201610 yr Classic Cincy fan! They go 12-4 and win division, and you guys want to fire poor old Marvin. No credit to the team that beats you year after year after year after year. lol! Why would they (Bengals fans) give credit to Pittsburgh? Cincy lost this game with stupidity. No other way around that. Maybe the Steelers still pull it out but we don't know that.
January 10, 201610 yr One thing's for sure... Whether Lewis stays or goes, Burfict stays or goes, etc etc... The vast majority of core players and others in the organization will remain... And that said, this game will undoubtedly change things going forward for this franchise... Either it propels them forward into being an elite playoff team (with a real shot at championships) for the next few seasons..... Or it sends them into a downward spiral in which they don't even sniff the playoffs again for awhile. I'd be very surprised if the same "one and done in the playoffs" status quo continues...

I'd be very surprised if the same "one and done in the playoffs" status quo continues... 30 for 30 on this game in the future? Cause I agree the Bengals will either collapse or become a real team. If they're good and keep the same guys they're going to be hated.
January 10, 201610 yr I could see this getting some 30 30 action... And as Bengals fans, we will probably point to this game as the one that started a truly great run... Or the game that brought it all crashing down... I'm with you, I just don't see how things stay the same after this... Even if the same players and coaches remain.
January 10, 201610 yr One thing is certain. If it wasn't already, Bengals-Steelers is now the marquee rivalry in the NFL. Not Packers-Bears. Not Steelers-Ravens. Not Niners-Seahawks.
January 10, 201610 yr Well, I don't really have many comments but have really enjoyed reading this morning. It was late when we got home and this is my weekend to work, so I was pretty interested in these threads this morning and they didn't disappoint. There will be 8 teams remaining at today's end, I'm just glad the team I root for is one of them. No one mentions the phantom PI call on Allen with the side judge shielded from the play yet he tossed the flag on the Hill TD drive, but I didn't expect there'd be any reason for the Bengal faithful to discuss it.:lol2: If you are talking about the PI on AJ Green down near the goal line, when you see the replay you will agree it was an obvious pass interference. That is why there is no discussion. Plus it went in the Bengals favor of course. Both Tomlin and Marvin tried to outsmart themselves last night. Just silly on both parts. And these are common knowledge football IQ issues that don't take "gut" to figure out. Yep. Tomlin going for two points was stupid. After the Burfict pick, my whole family congratulated the Bengal fans around us. They were very cordial and appreciative. However, when it turned, not one of them returned the favor.:idunno: I've been to many games a PBS, and this one by far in the stadium was the loudest. The Bengal fans should at the least be very proud of their turnout. Outstanding support for this one. Glad I have hi dollar duck hunting clothing, came in handy for this one. And finally, walking out of that stadium, I said to all of my family, "listen, it's been 3 minutes after a professional football game with a full stadium and you can hear the water flowing in the Ohio it is so quiet in that place". Comments in blue above. Congrats to you on toughing it out in person and being rewarded with a win. One of the big ironies from last night. We all blast Marvin for being ultra conservative and costing the Bengals in big games. Last night he chooses not to be ultra conservative, hands the ball to Hill and gets a loss.
January 10, 201610 yr Rain or beer? Mostly rain. Only one beer from a terribly drunken moron 2 rows back and his little redheaded crony who may possibly have been the biggest donkeys I've had to deal with in my history at PBS. Other fans around him kept apologizing.
January 10, 201610 yr Comments in blue above. Congrats to you on toughing it out in person and being rewarded with a win. Watched it on the the jumbotron and sure didn't look that way to me. No biggie.
January 10, 201610 yr Watched it on the the jumbotron and sure didn't look that way to me. No biggie. Contact before the ball got to Green and never turned his head, just ran through Green. For what it is worth, the announcers agreed it was an obvious PI penalty.
January 10, 201610 yr The wife is one of those diehards who, whenever her team (Bengals, Reds, UK hoops in particular) loses, they got jobbed. Kept shouting at Jim Nance to shut up about the Bengals' historic ineptitude come playoff time. But even she was shaking her head last night.
January 10, 201610 yr Anyone besides me think that maybe the real difference-maker was Shazier? He was outstanding.
