Steelers 18 Bengals 16

Featured Replies

Had some time to digest the results. A few thoughts:

Thankfully Hue Jackson will leave. Everyone is talking about the 2 point conversion play call and rightfully so. Can anyone explain what they were doing running a play as the 2 minute warning was coming while totaling 11 yards to that point and at their own 24 yard line? He ran 3 plays before the 2 minute warning and they got the ball back with 2:27. That was worse than the dropped INT that made it 6-0. The drooped INT should never have happened.

How ironic is it that Pac Man got an absolutely huge punt return to set up the go ahead TD and Burfict made the single biggest defensive play I have ever seen for the Gals before they imploded and cost them the game?

Marvin Lewis and Tomlin suck equally. Nice play call going for 2 when you could have gone up 16.

I'm not a blame the refs guy and as spindoc pointed out earlier I am probably missing some questionble calls that went the Gals way. However no chance that TD catch was a catch. No chance the hit on Gio wasn't a penalty after calling an at best 50/50 play a penalty for a defenseless receiver on the Gals. That guy took 3 steps after catching it over the middle. Also at first I thought Burfict took 3 steps before hitting Brown. He took 1 or maybe 1.5. Still a flag, but not as bad as I originally thought.

Yet the Bengals actual competitors are considered "dirty".

Oh, I agree, it was the correct call considering the whistle. But if the officials didn't think the hit was a defenseless receiver, but simply a fumble, well the ball was clearly out beforehand is all I was saying.

Gotcha, and I agree. Bernard was not a defenseless receiver and he absolutely fumbled. It should have been a personal foul on the D for the hit, but that is not reviewable.

Here I sit over 24 hours after the game ended and I still don't know what to say about what I watched. If I said what I really wanted to, I'd be on the outside looking in.

Congratulations to the Steelers fans on the board.

Where's @theguru? He's been MIA since game time.

He probably suspended himself.

She is my best friends sister. She is instafamous, there are tons of memes and Sports Center even had her on there.

Supposed to have Qryche11's meme on there with Steve Harvey, didnt work the way I wanted it to.

Also all of the people saying (not just on here) the Gals should have taken a knee 3 times and kicked a FG to go up 4 realize that they might have missed that FG right? Nugent just chiked in the Denver game a few weeks back with far less pressure. Hill running was the right call. He just had to be good enough not to fumble.

Doesnt matter, you take the timeouts away from Pitt and force Big Ben to beat you with 60 sec left. The clock was the enemy there....and I think Nugent hits that FG. But hindsight is 20/20. Jeremy Hill is the true GOAT of the game if you ask me. He fumbled at a crucial point when they couldve killed the clock and game. Once Pitt got the ball back everyone and I mean everyone had a feeling that it would end with Pitt driving down the field and kicking a FG. I think we all just figured the Bengals would go Prevent like they always do and get gashed until the Steelers were in FG position. Nobody and I mean nobody thought Burfict and Jones would lose their minds at the same moment.

Impressive everyone and I mean everyone and nobody and I mean nobody in the same post.

If Hill doesn't fumble they also would have had to use their TO's. A 1st down wins the game. A FG attempt does not.

This game scarred me for life.

Here's an interesting question that I heard today.

If we agree that Porter should have been flagged as well as PacMan what would the result of that penalty been?

Would all of the penalties, including Burfict's, been offsetting? Or would Burfict's still stand?

If they would have offset THEN the Bengals really have a complaint.

Where we'll disagree on Andy is this.

I don't think the Bengals would have been in that situation with a healthy Dalton against a suspect pass D.

With a healthy Dalton the Bengals would have gotten a bye...

Burfict penalty was during the play it would have counted. Pacman and Porter penalties would be dead ball and offsetting.

Burfict's wasn't after the play. His stands.
