January 11, 201610 yr No comments on his trot into the lockerroom with the ball after the interception? Is there any reason that running all the way across the field with your teammates and into your tunnel would constitute excessive celebration? Just wondering because his lasted considerably longer than that retarded peacock dance Gay does.
January 11, 201610 yr Should have been an excessive celebration penalty. Refs were not on their game Saturday night.

January 11, 201610 yr Former NFL head of officials Mike Pereira says the Shazier hit was probably not a penalty as some/many think. He says he doesn't think it meets the reason the rule was put in. Says the Competition Committee may end up changing it in the near future.

January 11, 201610 yr Pereira said that the penalty on PacMan was NOT for hitting Porter. He says the league says it was for contact with the official.

No doubt about it.
January 11, 201610 yr Pereira says he would not have had the head official (who he says is top 3) on this game since he just had the same two teams.
January 11, 201610 yr Clyde enjoying the Rich Eisen show. Me too. Interesting comments by Pereira. I believe the competition committee will change their rule on Shazier type hits to get more like the college targeting rule. With all the focus on concussions and trying to eliminate them from the game they have no choice.
