January 10, 201610 yr James Harrison said by rule, the Burfict hit is a penalty but doesn't think it should have been. He said there is no time to make that quick of decision. That's bc they are tight. He had 5 yards to get out of the way. It wasn't close.
January 10, 201610 yr I was going to post something very similar Clyde. I told my wife at the end of the game that the three punks on the team, Hill, Burfict and Pacman were the goats. It looked like the Bengals had finally broken through and those three clowns would not let them. I really like the Bengals but if they are all back next year, it will be hard to root for that team...and that is a shame because they have a bunch of good guys on the team too. And by the way, the Bengals 2 point conversion play was one of the worst looking plays I have seen in a long time...just stupid... I get what you guys are saying... But Coach Lewis and his staff brought these guys to Cincy... It's on them to control them better. And agree the 2 point thing was really dumb.
January 10, 201610 yr How do you know Marvin or Hue didn't say that? Did he go down on first contact?
January 10, 201610 yr If this play had been reviewed it wouldn't have taken long to confirm the call on the field. He was defenseless by NFL standards. I agree on this play. I am talking in general. The Bengals were flagged in the first half on a bad one IMO. The Steeler hit on Bernard should have been called. You are right, they won't take long to review.
January 10, 201610 yr If this play had been reviewed it wouldn't have taken long to confirm the call on the field. He was defenseless by NFL standards. What about the one earlier in the game where I believe it was Williams got called for a penalty on hit to a Pitt WR coming across the middle? If I am Williams watching that play on tape, I come to the decision that the only thing I can do is go low on these WR's crossing the middle.
January 10, 201610 yr I didn't say it had anything to do with fumbling. I just have zero sympathy for any punks. He's a punk ergo no sympathy. How does a punk have anything to do with Hill's fumble? What about McCarron's INT? Does that make him a punk?
January 10, 201610 yr I think the division winning teams get $25k and the wild card teams get $23k. How much will each Steeler get for the next round (being money each Bengal could've earned)?
January 10, 201610 yr I get what you guys are saying... But Coach Lewis and his staff brought these guys to Cincy... It's on them to control them better. And agree the 2 point thing was really dumb. Marvin AND other veteran players. You put Burfict on the Pats, he either cleans up his act real quick or is cut. The other players would have a role in keeping him in line too.
January 10, 201610 yr The lunatics have run the Cincinnati asylum throughout the Marvin era. Teams are reflections of their coaches, and there is obviously no fear of administrative retribution in this program. Reap what you sow.
January 10, 201610 yr How much will each Steeler get for the next round (being money each Bengal could've earned)? $24k next round $44k for the conference finals
January 10, 201610 yr I'm 52 so I'm way past getting upset when my team loses especially when you're used to it. I do feel bad for my 28-yr-old son who was just 3 when the Bengals last one. He has never watched his team that he is extremely passionate about and loyal to win a playoff game. I'll remind him tomorrow of the big picture . Players fumble. Happens. However, when you're a punk in college like Hill and when you're a punk like Burfict (so much so that you can't get drafted despite first round talent) and you're Pacman then you get nothing from me other than "you're a punk - you deserve it." 32,55,and 24 are punks. Always will be. Stripes do not change (pun intended). You hoped all three had made changes but deep inside you knew they were ticking time bombs.
January 10, 201610 yr I don't think we were outmatched as a team. We shouldn't have been in that position and about to win the game, but we simply were. We were given everything and we threw it away. I don't have any grievences towards the Steelers, but towards the Bengals entirely. Marvin Lewis should have been fired three years ago.
January 10, 201610 yr How does a punk have anything to do with Hill's fumble? What about McCarron's INT? Does that make him a punk? You are being obtuse to stir it up. Karma will eventually get Tomlin, also. "Hey Joey, go reign the guys in." Who hires Joey Porter, let alone uses him as a peace maker in such a contentious situation? The time is coming
January 10, 201610 yr Steelers again use the two C's - Composure and Clutch. Big Ben takes hit from Burfict but comes in to lead winning drive, as all Cincy knew he would! I call this one "Cincy-sational!" Steelers just find a way to win even when they don't play well. They say some quarterbacks play like they have ice water in their veins. That's Big Ben! Some quarterbacks play like they have ice sickles stuck on their fingers. That's AJ McCarron. lol! I think AJ stand for "Awful Job" - lol! He had a 68 qb rating at game's end. I will admit if Dalton played, Steelers would have possibly lost. Bengals defense is really good, but the two penalties on the last drive reflect a lost organization when it comes to winning in the clutch and staying composed. I'm up here at Martino's on Vine getting ready to party all night with the Steelers fans! Great showing tonight at Three Rivers Stadium SouthWest, Steelers fans! As the most famous Bengal Tiger of all time, Tony, once said about the Steelers: "They're Greaaaaaaaaaat!" On to Denver. Sleep well Cincy fans! Go Broncos!! You are about to get smacked!!
January 10, 201610 yr Obviously Marvin can't control his team. That, coupled with some of his classic clock management hopefully costs him his job!! Classic Cincy fan! They go 12-4 and win division, and you guys want to fire poor old Marvin. No credit to the team that beats you year after year after year after year. lol!
