Navy is going to wear special hand painted helmets for the Army / Navy game. Each helmet has a different ship painted on them. Each position has it's own vessel. Some of the coolest helmets I have seen. I put it in the Heisman thread but thought it deserved it's own thread.

Navy will wear special hand painted helmets for Army game - FootballScoop

VERY NICE!

What would be cool for Army would be depictions of a ground soldier on each helmet, or something to that effect.

Not crazy about them. Looks too much like a cheap air brush shirt from a mall kiosk.

I like the idea, but it is almost too much detail for a helmet.

Seems like there would be a rule against teams being allowed to wear different designs on their helmets. I guess not.

I can't believe the NCAA is allowing it...wasn't their and issue with something about Vanderbilt's unis or helmets last year not "Conforming"?

I love the idea, need to see the helmets up close to see if it is well done or cheap air brush as Habib said.

SEC rules that Vanderbilt football uniforms will not be allowed in future

Navy has had a strong Helmet game for awhile IMO...

Love em !!!!!!!!!

Personally I think the bottom one is the coolest looking helmet in college football.

They don't just have cool helmets, they have the uniforms to match. I'll take these over Oregon any day.

Love them!

For what these guys have committed to, I say "let them wear whatever the heck they want"! I like it

I heard an interview with Keenan Reynolds the other day and it is truly beyond compare what they are committing to play football at the Naval Academy. Active member of the United States Military, student at one of the top academic institutions in the country, and a college football player at the highest level. It's crazy the dedication these kids have. They should get much more recognition than they do.

My bucket list is to watch an Army / Navy game. I was lucky enough to play against Navy at Anapolis. It was a tremendous experience.

I love that white helmet here also...A little different than the other one, but still pretty cool.
