New delays for Obamacare

Recommended Posts

Our penman-in-chief has instituted another delay in his signature legislation that this country couldn't live without. New cancellations have now been delayed until after the November elections surprise surprise. That's almost 30 delays to this legislation that on October 1 could not be altered one iota. Please, please explain to me how any of this is good.

New O-Care delay to help midterm Dems | TheHill

"The Obama administration is set to announce another major delay in implementing the Affordable Care Act, easing election pressure on Democrats.

As early as this week, according to two sources, the White House will announce a new directive allowing insurers to continue offering health plans that do not meet ObamaCare’s minimum coverage requirements.

...

“I don’t see how they could have a bunch of these announcements going out in September,” one consultant in the health insurance industry said. “Not when they’re trying to defend the Senate and keep their losses at a minimum in the House. This is not something to have out there right before the election.”"

The bottom line - if this law is so great - implement it. Implement it without delay, without excuses, without politics. If the law is a disaster, kill it. Kill it in its total entirety. If a car has enough damage you total it. With the unconstitutional delays already in effect, the incredible and unaffordable and wasteful costs, the failures of implementation, etc. this law is clearly very, very damaged. It should be 'totaled'. We could have bought every uninsured person a policy for years at less cost already.

Insurers are also set to gain 5.5 billion in tax payer money for ObamaCare losses in 2015...Insurers? Obamacare Losses May Reach $5.5 Billion in 2015 - Bloomberg Can you say bail-out.

At least when you total a car you quit paying for it. This is like a completely wrecked car that you have to pay off and then put lots more money into it every year afterward - and still have a wrecked vehicle.
