January 18, 201511 yr Smoked Jowl is the "bacon" from the jaw of the hog. If you haven't tried it do so....it is awesome...lots of fat. We like it better than bacon from the belly of the hog. I've never tried it, but I will the next time we smoke a pig. Sounds great if its better than the pig belly. I'll definitely give it a try the next time I get a chance to.

January 18, 201511 yr Sunday night is always Pizza night at the Sunrise house. I will take a frozen pizza and spice it up. Tonight I am adding homemade sun dried tomatoes, ground chuck, pepperoni, mushrooms and banana peppers and several different spices. Then covered with a blend of pizza cheese.

January 20, 201511 yr So easy. I place the bone side up in the crock pot. In the breast cavity I add about 2 t. garlic salt ,2-3 large sprigs of fresh rosemary and 1/2 stick of real butter. I add water to about 1/3 up side of turkey. Set on high and cook about 9 hours. Enjoy. I am attempting this today. About a 3 pound turkey breast. (Had a hard time finding this at Kroger.) Not clear on the water? My crock pot is smaller, so the breast touches the sides of the pot. Water 1/3 up the side of the turkey? About how much is that? Thanks!
