Dinner: what did you have?

Featured Replies

Ol' papa made stir-fry and fried rice tonight; egg rolls I have to buy. Chicken, baby bok choy, broccoli, bamboo shoots, carrots, onions, mushrooms was what I had to work with; hoisin sauce, Chinese 5-spice and cayenne the primary seasonings. Carrots, peas and scrambled eggs in the rice.

I make it 3 or 4 times a year; wife said this was the best batch in a while. Maybe she was just hungry.

There are a very few things I'm entrusted to cook. Grill stuff, shellfish and stir-fry come close to exhausting the list.

Nothing special. Ham sandwich and an apple. It was, however, a wonderfully tasty Granny Smith apple, my favorite kind.

Chili? Omelettes? Breakfast in general? This is man territory. You're killing me here.

Well crap! So with Mrs. S's A1C out of whack, I have to stay healthy.

Took some chicken breast coated with her brothers bbq rub mix and slow cooked, again, all day. Served it with green beans and raw baby carrots.

Having the same for lunch today.

The "DePaul Husky" burger at Shenanigans: 1/3 pound patty, cheddar cheese, fried pickles, lettuce, onion, ranch dressing.

Best when washed down with an ice cold American light beer.
