January 16, 201511 yr Try growing up within shouting distance of the Chesapeake Bay, then living in east-north-central northeast Kentucky for the past eleventy billion years. Only thing I miss about the Baltimore 'burbs. I can imagine that would be difficult. If I lived in an area like that I wouldnt have a problem with eating seafood at least 5 days a week. Luckily Jewel City is close enough I can run up there and get my fix, though its a rarity these days. I usually try and head up on the all you can eat crab leg's night, then bring some fresh fish, scallops, musslles home with me to cook later. Tonight I had chicken strips. Third night in a row I have had chicken lol. I'm struggling.
January 16, 201511 yr That would be insulin pump overload for me! I did share that much food with 2 others!
January 16, 201511 yr Chicken, shrimp, steak stir fry with orange Sauce. Fried rice and ranch bacon salad to accompany. The girls said it was tasty. The two year old ate lots of the fried rice, however, she lost quite a bit on the floor, also. Took a while to clean it up, but she was happy and that made me happy.

My daughter (3 years old now) struggled with the concept of sitting at the table and eating normal food. Once we found out she loved fried rice, we started mixing other things in with it, that changed everything. Now she will eat pretty much anything.

The day after we have grilled chicken I make fried rice with the leftovers. I always add extra eggs to beef up the protein, and an entire bag of frozen peas. It's really the only time they will eat peas. :lol2:
January 17, 201511 yr Went with a barbacoa bowl last night I had to go with a chicken one last night, because they didn't have carnitas.

January 18, 201511 yr Fried chicken' date=' mashed potatoes, gravey, home canned green beans with smoked jowl and sugar cookies[/quote'] If you cooked it, I don't doubt that its good, but what in the world is smoked jowl? Pardon my ignorance.
January 18, 201511 yr If you cooked it, I don't doubt that its good, but what in the world is smoked jowl? Pardon my ignorance. Smoked Jowl is the "bacon" from the jaw of the hog. If you haven't tried it do so....it is awesome...lots of fat. We like it better than bacon from the belly of the hog.
