January 9, 201511 yr Understandable, i I don't get flu shots either. With several nurses in the family, I get chewed out about it every year. Yet im the only one who has never had the flu. The concept of flu shots baffles me. You hear all this crap about how "If you don't get one, you'll definitely get the flu," and that's a load of hooey. I rarely get the flu, ever. Maybe once every 3 years or so. And when I do get it, it's in and out in 24-36 hours — which you would get anyway from the shot itself. Forgive me if I continue to take my chances, given my track record with my strong immune system.
January 9, 201511 yr 4 oz Salmon , Asparagus, Sweet Potato and 1 cup of Brown Rice Yay me...... It was delicious though....
January 9, 201511 yr Took a chopped onion, a pound of ground chuck, a pound of Jimmy Dean's Italian sausage, some garlic powder, some Montreal seasoning and browned it all in a skillet. Added mushrooms and a can of Ro*Tel tomatoes and green chilies. Simmered for a little while and poured over angel hair pasta. Stirred it up and let it set for about 30 minutes. Served with some sliced buttered Cuban bread. Look!!! It's lunch time. :thumb:

January 9, 201511 yr Last night I had the very tasty Bellarmine Knight Burger at Shenanigans in the Louisville Highlands. 1/3 pound patty with cheddar cheese, bacon, and bbq sauce. Not sure what about that is like a Bellarmine Knight, but it's tasty.
January 9, 201511 yr Last night we had baked cod fish, cooked cabbage, wild rice, pasta salad and hush puppies and Key lime pie. Tonight we are having breakfast. Country Ham, hash browns, cheesy eggs, Biscuits and gravy.

January 15, 201511 yr Mediterranean seafood pasta with clams, shrimp and fish. Mcmama outdid herself with this one. I'm tempted to not even save some for Randy.
January 15, 201511 yr I had fixed bake Cod in garlic butter, wild rice, cauliflower in cheese sauce and home canned green beans with country ham. My husband was in Lexington today and stopped and picked up 4 lb of huge crab legs so I fixed that too. We ate all the fish and crab legs, have some veggies left over. We all ate too much but it was so good.
January 16, 201511 yr These seafood dishes have me jealous. I have no lack of excellent home cooked meals, but seafood is my absolute favorite. The problem is there just isn't many options in my area for fresh seafood. Jewel City Seafood in Huntington is about our only option.

Try growing up within shouting distance of the Chesapeake Bay, then living in east-north-central northeast Kentucky for the past eleventy billion years. Only thing I miss about the Baltimore 'burbs.
