January 4, 201412 yr Bunch of stuff on Twitter about sources saying Strong was "disappointed by empty seats at announced sellouts" and "the small crowd at the start of senior day". I'm always skeptical of these things. It seems every time there's a bit of uncertainty in a high profile topic a trove of these unnamed sources appear with conveniently juicy tidbits. There's bound to be a lot of telephone game hearsay and agenda-driven speculation being reported.
January 4, 201412 yr It's beeness than 24 hours since this all truly broke and people are saying he is dragging this on... That's funny. So he tells people a d players at U of L yesterday he wasn't going anywhere... Then later that day UT comes with an offer and now he has a decision.
January 4, 201412 yr If I'm a UL fan, I think I may honestly be ready for Strong to move on. He's a winner, but at what point is UL enough to satisfy the guy ? It's not the money, UL can match any offer. It's UL....they aren't Texas, They aren't Miami. If he stays, who shows interest in Charlie after next season ? The season after that ? It's similar to Cal at UK and the NBA rumors every season. The only difference is Cal squashes the rumors early (still doesn't mean he wont take another job minutes after saying he is happy at Kentucky). Also, it's UK basketball, like it or not, it's a very high profile job. I never worry about Cal leaving for another college job unless he's certain he's pushed the envelope to far again :lol2:

January 4, 201412 yr That may be the case, but he's not being straight up to his team or staff behind the scenes. I think behind the scenes he only has to be straight up with his family first IMO.
January 4, 201412 yr I am not sure UL fans are mad at STrong over wanting the Texas job. We understand there are only about 4 -5 top jobs. I think what is fustrating is how its being handled with staff,players and recruits. He owes us fans nothing.
