But has been a part of the SI department last 20 years. He typically wont say anything so I trust when he does speak he knows something. He is saying that TJ isnt happy how this has been handled.
January 4, 201412 yr Charlie will be out of a job in 4 years. I don't think hes cut out for it in Texas. If he went to a Florida school he could build something. Also mix in his personality and this is potentially a career suicide for him. I understand why you feel like Charlie can recruit in Florida but why can't he in Texas? Oh how in wish Friday Night Lights tv show was still alive. Would do sooooo much for the story long.
January 4, 201412 yr Good luck in Austin; nearly any coach would take this job if it was offered to them. I believe Strong will probably do well at Texas; still uncertain on how he will fit in.
January 4, 201412 yr Adam Rowe @BlueDevilLair 3m I can report that #Duke head coach David Cutcliffe has been contacted by Louisville to replace Charlie Strong I would find this hard to believe this quickly, but if it's official in a few hours or so that Coach Strong is Austin bound, Cutcliffe would be an excellent replacement. Wouldn't expect him to be around too long though.

Not saying that Sumlin dropped word for him or anything, just that one school is maybe playing catch-up in hiring a younger black coach because the other one has one as well and it might help recruiting?

January 4, 201412 yr Where is Deuce surely he knows the truth or he's out somewhere holding a don't go sign... We need you Deuce!? Sorry, I passed out early last night, long week at work. I woke up about 3 am to see all this on Twitter. At this point I'd be shocked if he stays. I agree with most, he probably couldn't have handled this any worse, and I feel bad for the players and staff if he does indeed leave. That being said, it's Texas, and nearly impossible to turn that down, I'd say.
January 4, 201412 yr What is the proper way to handle it? A school wants your services and you're trying to make a decision while that school is leaking out information. I blame social media and people's desire to be the first to say "I told you" more than Charlie Strong.
