January 4, 201412 yr If I was him, I'd wait on Miami. I feel that is more his type of job than Texas. Its Texas, a pipeline of talent in your very own state. Yes most of his ties were in Florida, however once again it is Texas. Coaches have dreams of their own too, and UL is a great program but coaches don't dream of coaching at UL. They dream of coaching at a place like Texas. Which a coach is not going to think what if I don't do well, all coaches think they will do well where they go. So he could take the Texas job, and if the Miami job is truly better for him then he could always leave Texas if it came open. To top it off his top QB that also helped turn the program back around is leaving. There is no better time than now for him to leave.

January 4, 201412 yr I believe the story last year was he accepted the Tennessee job but didn't like that it leaked and backed out. Any chance he does that here?
January 4, 201412 yr Mike Rutherford @CardChronicle Charlie Strong has scheduled a 9 a.m. staff meeting. We'll know something one way or the other tomorrow morning.
January 4, 201412 yr My only source at UL says TJ is not Happy. My only source says that some guy named Randy Parker just told him that Jason Higdon has indicated Strong will make his decision in the morning.
