FarBeyondDriven
True dat. Met him after a Rainbow concert in Milwaukee in 1981. Pat Travers opened for them that night. When his parents named him Richard, they knew what they were doing. Would loved to have seen that show, would love to see Pat Travers. I have no doubt about Blackmore......he is a bit odd. Hangman
I'm currently listening to the new Springsteen album "High Hopes"... It's a collection of unreleased tracks and covers compiled over the last 10+ years and includes a healthy dose of Tom Morello. Some of these tracks ("American Skin (41 Shots)" for example) had only ever previously been performed live, so it's good to see them get an official studio recording. If any of you have heard Springsteen's duet of "The Ghost of Tom Joad" with Tom Morello, they went into the studio to put that one on this album as well. While it doesn't quite translate to its live intensity, it's still very enjoyable. On the whole, I don't know how I feel about the album. They're still solid songs in general, but knowing that they were primarily rejects from previous albums kind of subconsciously taints it all for me a little, I think. It's worth listening to if you like Bruce. If you haven't liked him historically, you won't start now. The cover art, however, is awful.
