Understand that I have no knowledge or insight into the process at all and I am more often wrong than right. However, I get the sense that, much like Joe Paterno at Penn State, the ultimate real decision making power is in the hands of one person and he's already made his decision and it will be Brian Weinrich.

Teachers yes. Coaches, maintenance, cafeteria. etc... No.

That is more along the lines of what I thought, it was for teachers and principals only not the rest.

I would venture to say that you are correct on all counts.

 

Now, like Sticky said, he will massage the fans, parents and facility and ask for people's input and opinions to make everyone think they are in the decision making process, then he will hire who he already knows he is going to hire, just like the SBDMC, he will bring the applications in and let them voice their opinions and if they agree with the person he wants to hire he will hire that person, if they disagree with who he wants to hire he will hire him anyway. That way everyone is happy.

I too have served on SBDMC and all positions hired in the building are to be brought before the council. The principal, by law, is required to bring "at least one application" to the council for discussion. The Principal does not have to take the recommendation of the council, but he/she has to have the discussion for "all" positions hired in the building.

A little Birdy told me that the kids were told to keep their uniforms as they must be getting some new uni's next year.

 

Also, there is word that the offense will be completely different next year. Circa 1989 and Chris Gallichio style.

I know where you heard that from. Who knows about the offense, you have to see how your athletes fit into what you want to do. From what I understand it is time for new uniforms for the Varsity this year and that they are looking at Nike and trying to add another color. I believe the 30 day period is up shortly after kids return from Christmas break and do not think for a minute that a decision will not be made at the 30 day mark. Another reason that Dale stepped down when he did.

The triple option would definitely be a huge change from the offense of the past 20 years. Gallichio was an absolute stud.

Think about it....Hoge/Kendall/Watson/Daugherty.....nice group of backs right there.

I think from reading these posts and from past experience that Highlands need to hire from with in. Any coach following a long tenure legend is going to find resistance to change at every turn. The hardest coaching job is one following success. I wish the staff "Good dicision making".

My son asked to buy his jersey and was told no. From Dales text to my son, there will not be new uniforms next year. Only seniors are permitted to buy jerseys if they want to keep them, but with the rumors, my son( a junior) thought he would ask.

 

And what colors, they are blue and white. Black is not a color
