My son asked to buy his jersey and was told no. From Dales text to my son, there will not be new uniforms next year. Only seniors are permitted to buy jerseys if they want to keep them, but with the rumors, my son( a junior) thought he would ask.

I agree, I love the classic look, simple blue and white.

 

I feel the same way about the Pirate uniforms. Silver and/or black have made their way on Belfry uniforms a time or two a long time ago but I always preferred the red and white. (I understand the original school colors was more of a maroon and white, though. Thank goodness they changed that)

No, for the simple reason why he is on the "Outs" at St. X.....

 

If I'm hearing is true, no way he even applies. I'm sure someone has already told him to save his time and apply elsewhere. That's all I'm going to say about the the Steve Specht situation.

I'm with you here. I've always correlated Highlands uniforms with Penn State, simple, basic and clean. I say keep it that way, something to be said for tradition.

How about putting the "mean Bird" decal back on the helmet instead of the block H.

I don't know but I don't think so. I've seen some old varsity letterman's sweaters that were maroon and white.

This is my thoughts and response to Little Luck 55's post from the Chuck Smith thread.....While Jack Eicher was a HHS alum, he was hired from Scott County to coach the Birds. That didn't go so well either. For people who think that this is a slam dunk for Brian Weinrich, remember back in 1983 when HHS legend Bill Hermann retired and HHS went outside to hire Jack Eicher. It was in my opinion that it was Carl "Skip" Hicks job to lose and it indeed turned out that way. He was the master of some pretty good defenses 4 years prior to his departure to Beechwood.

 

Just saying people, it can happen. Likely it won't happen but nothing can be ruled out at this point. Ft Thomas Ind Schools Super Gene Kirchner will hire the best coach available! Period.....
