AP All State Team

Does anyone have a link for the all state team released today? WYMT reported Ron Blume as first team, Ian Holbrook second team and Blake Johnson third team. Congrats to these fine players and all who make the team--I'm just anxious to see the whole list!

When will the Courier Journal All-State team be out?

Some interesting names on the All-State Teams.

I know I'm biased, but Ashland got three on the second team (Holbrook - who is larger than the size listed), Davis, and McDavid, and Gurule on the third team.

I like seeing Blume on the first team, and Corey Rakes on the third team (I don't think he's a Senior, but is a Sophomore). Blake Johnson on the third team - it looks like the eastern end of the state is finally starting to get some recognition.

Kasey Clark as honorable mention is nice, but I think you could make an argument for him to be on third team - not that it matters, because he'll be first or second team next year.

It comes out right before Christmas. The Ap poll is loaded with players from big schools which are usually in Big Towns.The Roy Kidd Class A player of the year makes honorable Mention in the AP poll.

Interesting that 2 high D1 D-linemen were 2nd team.

I agree with some of you, there are some very interesting names in some very interesting places on those teams.

I'm surprised no TK Guess of Crittenden! I'm sure he will be on the CJ list though

Thanks, Frances for your wise acknowlegement. Not taking away from others but he has more #'s than those who made these teams. Anyway it is nice to see Michael Horn,I'm sure he would trade his spot for the opportunity to play Saturday!!! Good looking out!! Frances :thumb:

Wow - I missed Michael Horn. It looks like the media outlets in the east did an excellent job of getting their ballots in. For all of those that say that the Daily Independent is only supporting Ashland kids, I'd say that this throws some water on that argument...
