MJAlltheWay24
We probably should have started this thread a little while abo but I figured during the last week and a half of the season, we can have a thread to easily track the HR total for Suarez. He hit #48 last night, which set the record for the most HRs hit by a Venezuelan born player, passing Andres Galaraga. He is one HR behind Pete Alonso of the Mets. Mack The Knife
Suarez also tied the NL record for 3rd Basemen, tying Mike Schmidt and Adrian Beltre.
8th Region Warrior
If Suarez keeps improving at RISP, he will be an MVP candidate for sure next year in my opinion. Almost 50 dingers and only a 100 RBI sounds weird to me, until you realize how many are solo shots. It tells me we need to get people on base ahead of him a lot more often. What a season for him!! Jumper_Dad
Amazing that he has kinda snuck right up on Foster's team record. I'd love to see him tie it...:
MJAlltheWay24
He seems like a really likable guy. I'm glad the Reds have him locked up one a pretty team friendly deal for a while.
sumoroyal
Think what his numbers might be if he did not strike out 150 times.
Jumper_Dad
Think what his numbers might be if he did not strike out 150 times. Think how many less he'd hit if he worried about striking out! After just hitting .248 through June, he has hit over .300 since July 1st.
sumoroyal
Alonzo just hit his 50th and might have just won eye Tundra truck if he had been a Red.
MJAlltheWay24
Suarez hit #49 last night. I believe he is two behind the lead. However, he set the record for NL third basemen.
CincySportsFan
Not going to be able to hit #50 at home today, unless he comes off the bench to do it. Farmer starting at 3B in this afternoon's game.
