New Orleans 30 Houston 28

The Saints come away with a thrilling week 1 victory over the Texans after Wil Lutz nailed a 58 yarder as time expired. The last second field goal came after a Texans touchdown with 37 seconds remaining on what looked like the game winning score. But after two passes for 15 and 11 yards respectively, Drew Brees managed to spike the ball at the Houston 49 with 6 seconds left and threw a quick pass to Ted Ginn for 9 yards before taking a timeout to set up the eventual game winning field goal.

No doubt a great win for the Saints and their fans and one that will hopefully help them move on from their heartbreaking loss in January.

Man, what a last minute and a half or so! The Texans' TD with 37 seconds left came in 2 plays---2 passes---- after N.O. had kicked a FG to go up by 6. After their quick TD, the Texans miss the PAT so the game was tied. However, there was penalty and the re-kick was good to put the Texans in the lead by 1. Then Brees and the Saints went to work to pull out the win.
