Northern Kentucky(16-7, 9-2 Horizon) is now back in first place with the win and the upset loss by Wright State to a very bad Cleveland State team. Northern trail by eight points six different times in the first half, but came out and took control early in the 2nd half and never looked back. Leading the way was,Drew McDonald(Cold Spring, Ky)with 26 points and 16 rebounds. He had help in the form of,Carson Williams(Owenton, KY)19 points and 4 rebounds. Coming off of the bench to score 15 points was,Tyler Sharpe(Mt. Washing, Ky) NK was hot from the field hitting 59.6% of their shots, as they showed they cam shoot the rock as good, if not better as those teams in the major conferences. NK used 4 bench players and got 30 points, from them.

For a very, very bad Youngstown State (6-18, 4-7 Conf) it was a game, where they showed a flash of being a team that can be competitive to going back to the level of play they have sadly displayed most of the season. For the game YSU hit 43.1% of their shots and was led by Braun Hartfield(Cleveland, Ohio) with 23 points and 7 boards. Tyree Robinson(Fall River, MA) came off of the bench to score 19 points. In all YSU used 3 bench players and got 28 points from them.

Nice offensive performance. Five in double figures. Can't complain about a conference road win. This coupled with Wright State's loss at Cleveland State puts NKU back in the driver's seat for the #1 seed--which is really big deal in this conference.
