Western Michigan football won an epic, seven-overtime game at Buffalo, 71-68, on Saturday.

But just as odd as that marathon game was what happened after one of the many touchdowns.

WMU tight end Donnie Ernsberger (Battle Creek Lakeview) caught a 14-yard touchdown pass in the first overtime. But after coming down with the ball, Ernsberger wasn't met by his teammates in the end zone, but reportedly by his sister who ran onto the field for a hug.

Or as Ballard Memorial and Crittenden County would say - big deal. We beat that with zero overtimes.

Glad the Broncos found a way to put up the W. in this one.
