Golf lessons?

Has anyone ever taken golf lessons if so did they help? I'm not a very good golfer I have my moments but my best round is a 92. Im typically in the 95-105 range. But I want to get better do any of ya'll have a recommendation? Thanks in advance!

My daughter has only been playing for a couple of years. Last year she was really struggling with the driver. I took her to Deron Feldhaus who made a slight adjustment to her hand position and ball location in her stance. It definitely helped her. And it gave her some confidence.

So I think a pro might be able to do something similar for you and ID a couple of small things that could help your game.

If you really want to improve it's the only way. Lots of great options in KY. Do some research before hand though. If you're in NKY area I would suggest Ralph Landrum. It's pricey but still cheaper than a new driver.

Ditto, split it with a buddy and it's not bad at all.

If I knew then what I know now..... That's why my 10 year old is taking lessons. Unfortunately the guy who is working with him only deals with kids.

Make sure you're willing to do the work. No shortcuts in golf. Major improvements will take practice. A good teaching pro can be a tremendous help. If you're not willing to commit, keep your money in your pocket.

45 years and had one lesson. @THE SHERIFF is correct. You have to practice, practice practice. After 45 years my swing is in the automaticity mode of my brain. To break it would take years of practice and I just do not want to spend that much time. I started my son at 11 with lessons, he has a sweet swing that h e has kept and is very good golfer.

Definitely. Like most amateurs, you probably have several obvious swing flaws that can be correctly fairly easily.

Tenyee Ohr at Man O War Golf, and a UK golfer in the 1970's, has won the PGA teaching pro award in Kentucky once or twice. She's very good at her job, very methodical and professional.
