HHSHOG62
First, congrats to all that signed to play at the next level. That being said, 42 is an absurd number of signees for one class. Are existing class numbers down?
rjs4470
First, congrats to all that signed to play at the next level. That being said, 42 is an absurd number of signees for one class. Are existing class numbers down? Typical of many D3 and NAIA schools. A large portion won't make it to their senior year. And some (if not many) of the small schools use football as an enrollment driver.
kypride
At Christmas break of that first year many of them begin to wonder if college football is worth it for the price they are paying and decide its over and either leave then or at the end of freshman year. After that the 25 that are left follow a pretty normal pattern of attrition for all of college football.
BEChargers
Actually 42 is kinda low and they will add more before the season starts. Probably 10-20 more. It's the NAIA way of doing things now. Will probably still only have 15-20 Sr's each year.
fan4nascar
Agree with both of the above posts, NAIA and DIII are notorious for bringing in 50-60 kids each class, of that only about 25-30% go all the way through their senior year. The football is good, the young men usually bust their butt's, but they are truly playing for the love of the game....not much glitz and glamour at either level. I admire the kids who stick it out.
