That game in 1982 was 28 to 6 I think or maybe 7. Not sure. That was a Highlands team that arguably was one of the best ever. Well aren't they all though. I think back in the 80's Scott used to field pretty competitive teams. Heck they even beat CovCath not too long ago and they're a powerhouse year in and year out.

Definitely a problem. Luckily they have been good enough to win the games. I just saw one of Hurt's fumbles and anyone would have fumbled that one when a kids helmet hits the ball hand directly and knocks the ball out. That's an exception though.

When I was leaving a Coach from CCH told me that Punch tore his ACL. That's too bad. Hate to see anyone get hurt. Also saw VanSant playing, maybe a little tentative but still playing. Wondering though, he told me just last week - Dixie game, that he wouldn't be ready because of the 10 practice days needed to participate in varsity athletics. I guess he either got them in somehow or the rule changed or is that even a rule? I don't know for sure. Maybe someone could enlighten me?

I think that is where he was going with it. I have seen it happen in many levels. If you don't practice because of faking it, then you don't play. With most teams having professional trainers, they know who's faking or not. And I'm sure the word gets passed around. But then again, "who" you are and what "contributions" were given on behalf of you and your family might have something to do with it too!

I see this game the same way I saw the Bengals-Browns game. Way over matched and won't be much of a game. With that said, that didn't work out. I do think HHS will win this game, but you can never take CovCath for granted. As for kicking an onside kick as classless when you are up 35-0, not sure i agree with it. I would have to say it will happen Saturday.

After re-reading my post I need to clear up something. In no way do I mean it was taught by the fine coaches at HHS. I was saying that it was maybe, just maybe passed down by a dad or two. Now I will get into trouble.

Agree with you on some of these especially the "block in the back" and personals. The last couple of years with the Varsity there were several by a couple individuals that just drove me crazy. They just didn't get caught. It was like they were taught or something. Just no place for cheap football like that! I'm sure it will change very soon.

Exactly what I was thinking. NKY has a lot of schools in their three counties.. Last I looked Maroon, the AP poll doesn't have any of the three schools mentioned above in their top ten. To say they would win a game against the big boys is a bit of a stretch. IMO!

Talked with a member of the Cannon Crew and he told me he packed 7 shots. After the Freshmen game, the "Enthusiasm" shown by the Varsity coaches while talking to the players of all levels, I think he is going to pack another 7 or more.

Who are the QB's. The only one I now of is Jason Simon. Who else?

First off, I believe HHS will win this game. I think they have overall better "Team" talent and that will be a factor in this game. I don't want to say anything to offend anyone but we will see in this game that it takes more than a few individual players to win big games. IMO that individualism will be exposed by HHS. For the life of me, I can not believe I read on here from parents/supporters of players that they believe that another team, ie; Trotwood is going to win. Don't know about your kids, but mine does read this and if he would see on BGP or anywhere else for that matter, that his Dad/community didn't think his team was going to win, that would be a little disheartening for him. Now he is mature enough to realize that some people on here didn't really have a big role while playing for their teams, so he takes most things on here with a grain of salt. With that said, shame on those who don't support their team. For those who do, I'm sure the team thanks you!

How are the lights at your stadium. I know at HHS IMO they need lights. The two scrimmages they had this year were with one temp light pole and the other without a light pole. Not a good combination. I know the school is under construction and all, but before it was still bad IMO. Was there anyone else out there that thought the lighting was bad at HHS or at their stadium?
