That does sound like a great turn out. Just think if all the players came out that could contribute immediately and don't because of, uuuhhh, other commitments. Yeah, commitments! I know of two kids that would be top pitchers in the region if they came out and played. Too bad though because they really don't need the extra "training" at their other sport to achieve their real goal at the next level. They are going to get there with or without 10 days of "spring" training. That's alright, more time for others to excel at baseball.

It will be interesting to see HHS in the 7 on 7. I think they will be a lot more competitive than last strictly because they have throwing QB's coming in for next season. Add to that a couple re-positioned 2007 players to receiver spots and watch out. It will definitely different next season. With the players that will be there, I see no reason HHS doesn't repeat. Maybe not undefeated, but State Champs for sure.

Seems to me this was brought up in the football forum about student body at their games as well. Maybe HHS just doesn't need all that hoopla to succeed. I know it would be nice but then again does it really matter?

I did hear that yesterday at the Banquet. But then again after nine hours I thought I heard that this was the greatest team ever. Must have been hallucinating because I've never heard that used before especially with this year. Seriously though I did hear that. Replace the Hoptown game with T. I'm sure that will be dispelled in a few.

They are playing in the "Kenton Cty. Classic". One has to ask why it would be at HHS. But then again why is a Campbell Cty. team playing in a Kenton Cty. Classic? And remember whoever covers the NKY basketball does a terrible job at locations, times, names, etc. There's a reason why Wildman Walker calls it the "bird cage liner". That's all it's good for.

Will the Crane kid get any touches in Varsity next year? I saw him play last year as a freshman and he dominated most games. Almost a one man wrecking machine on offense. Big bruising runningback.

Whatever! Saying "most" was maybe a bit of a reach but "several" do or have played in the past couple of years. Whether AABC, Knothole, or even highschool, there are enough that could make a difference. How about starting with Crawford, Head, Roller, Conner, Collingsworth, , Abner, Hoerner, Turner, Newman, Alford, Brown, Dierig, Jansen, Rosenhagen (Kody and Colin) and Dempsey. I would love to see a big and strong Bardo throw left handed and maybe Guidugli throwing hard right handed. Can never have enough arms. I'm sure that I'm leaving "several" more off. This doesn't even include the Freshman that are going to play. Too bad though, some of these boys would rather work on their tan this spring I guess. Oh, by the way, is Highlands playing Hoptown in the 2008 season?

All this talk about spring ball. Why aren't these kids playing baseball? I know most do or have in the past!

Since people are referring to the ring as being their(seniors) ring, I wonder then if players that don't like the "complete' design can go out and get their(juniors and sophomores) own alternate design.
