So HHS only has four games left they can play without going over the limit correct. Since the Doc Morris only counted as one, their record is technically 16 10 or lets go with 17 and 9 since they went 3-1 in the tourney so we'll delete 2 wins and 1 loss.

Was told that player and parent agreed to it. I would think that the coaches know better than that wouldn't you. They continued to ask and he was good to go. They kept track of his pitches and they felt as coaches it was the right thing to do. I guess if you look back, if they would have pulled him, the outcome would have been different. Also if he would have done better that one inning then the coaches would have been right. And the so called parent would be happy. Easy to point fingers isn't it.

Is this for the week because I don't know about Nutini, I saw one hit, but Holocher was 1 for 3 and Maile was 1 for 4 today. Were these their hitting leaders? Their outfield was the difference in this one. Infield a little schetchy. Still a good game by both teams. HHS got their best(other than pitcher) and stayed with them. Maybe it will be like the Holmes-CCH series in basketball this year. Can't beat a team four times in a year. See ya in Regions!

Sounds like you are still reeling from a few years ago when Dale "ran" the score up on CCH. I'm thinking like Birdsfan, maybe the other teams should play better. Sometimes teams can't because they just are not as good and capable of winning. Case in point - HHS wasn't as good as CCH last year so they lost. Whether 1 point or 88 still a loss. When another team puts 88 on HHS, you will not hear from this poster that it was running up the score. Just a blowout and bad loss. And yes there's a difference between blowouts and running up the score. I'm sure you can figure that out. Wait a minute, I see you wrote blowouts in your post so every thing is fine. Never mind!

I know several players at CCH and that is who I root for. I always like to see those boys do well. Other than that Go Birds!!! I think you will see a lot of true colors come out on this one. Those that have "any"

Was there something brought up at the meeting last night to make the Coach Johnson think that the city is going to do anything different than in the past to help out the bad situation at Highland Park. Just curious. I haven't heard anything different. Hopefully with the new guy in town it will change.

I don't know from last year, but from what I've been told this year there are a few. Mostly, not all, but younger kids that just might make a difference in turning the tide. The older kids have already lost interest and are playing/training for other sports. That's a shame IMO.

So what you are saying is that CovCath and others have no problem with kids going on spring break and missing baseball games. I find that hard to believe. I think the problem is that HHS has finally decided to do what everybody else does (that's a first) and not allow the kids to miss baseball so they can start building a program like it used to be - A heck of a lot more competitive, winning program. There seems to be a few adults that have talked their kids or given them no choice in the matter and would rather spend their spring break with their neighbors in Florida. Sounds like fun to me. These parents and kids need to realize that for 99% of them this is it. After High School it's all over except of course for the beer league softball game. Woo Hoo!!!

Football! I would like to know how many schools actually do spring football in NKY. I know this might throw this topic off but just curious. Then I think you will be able to link the two as to why the baseball program is where it is right now

Jr. came home today from practice and said that there were over 60 kids at Freshman workouts. This doesn't even include some kids that are finishing basketball and of course the local NKY talent pool.:sssh: WOW! I bet Coach Barr doesn't know what to do with that many given that there are normally 20 or so at this point. Jr. also said he has never seen such big freshman before. Wonder if they will add any coaches to the Freshman level to help out. They definitely have huge shoes to fill and from the looks of things, they are up to the task. I can hear it already, "this is the biggest, fastest, and best looking team ever" Can't wait to see the young Birds in action.
