Big test for CCH - not just from a win/loss standpoint but a toughness standpoint. Beechwood was the tougher team last night and more aggressive with more hustle. HHS wears their toughness as a badge of honor. Can CCH respond in kind or respond enough? That can be the difference in this game.

 

Unlike last year, HHS has 3 legit scorers so you can't simply focus on Simpson.

 

This will be the best environment for NKY high school basketball this season. Bar none.

Very nice of HHS to agree to move this game to Wednesday night. Sometimes playing games aren't all that important, even when it a HHS vs. CovCath game.

I will catch the tape delay when I get home from the game just so I can hear Mark/Jason call the Highlands Victory.

I think the Birds will have to take advantage of Bondick being out and defend Shover/Maile keeping a hand in their face and a body on them. McGraw and Simpson will have to use their experience to get to the Free throw line and convert. Kowolonek is going to have to play like a veteran. He is no longer a sophomore as he has played in enough varsity games to be considered a vet at this point and he will have to step up and knock down shots. If Eaton/Watson/Grubbs/Hurtt can box out effectively they have a very good chance at winning. The Birds have played sound basketball so far this year and it will have to be a perfect game to win. Two seasons ago it came down to a Vories elbow shot at the horn to win it. I hope it doesnt come down to that this year but it may.

This should be an excellent game between bitter rivals. CovCath just seems to have more weapons than Highlands and with the game at CovCath.....CovCath by 9.

I think Scripps got rid of the wrong paper. I hate the Enquirer. Like Wildman calls it, "The Bird Cage Lining".
