This rivalry has been a lot like the football rivalry the last 7-8 years....pretty one-sided, except in b-ball it's in CCH's favor. It's like 9 out of the last 12 for CCH In b-ball, and the same for HHS in football. BUT just about every game is always a war, that's always a given.

 

I think the Birds' get this one. I think emotionally CCH is going to be spent, and with Bondick out, not sure if they have enough offensive firepower right now. In March, it could be different.

I just read the notice about Coach Sorrel's daughter in the paper. My heart goes out to Coach and his family. I was using it as a 'learning lesson" for my son, who is a new driver, about the dangers of icy roads. Then I put 2+2 together about the CC connection. Beautiful girl with apparently a beautiful way with people. Parents: Hug your children...everyday! Did Coach Sorrel play for Dixie back in the 70's?

And then whine about it later.

Only 23 posts about this game? I'm a bit surprised. Usually any sporting event between these two rivals brings out all kinds of opinions and "arm chair" critics. I hope the Birds keep it close and pull it out in the end.

I believe the loss suffered by the CCH family this week has taken a lot of the edge off this game. The loss of a young person hits everyone hard. Good luck to the Birds going into a tough, tough matchup.
