I just remember he was really leaning toward Denny Crum and the Cards early, but UK came on strong and he ended up there, maybe I'm dreaming its been along time ago, but I recall reading this somewhere, he liked the Cards style of play at that time better than the Eddie Sutton style.

Pineville I'm sure won't be outcoached, they don't have the team to hang with one of the states best, maybe if they had 5 John David Strange's, but they don't so they lose by 20.

IMO Rex really wanted to go to the Ville back in the day. Maybe his son will.

The 13th has had one at Knox Central the last 2 or 3 years at least, I think I seen somewhere there will be another one there on Sat. Feb.7th.

The Southern part of Laurel Co. made them mad last night and they put a whopping on the Northern part, no way another upset was happining tonight.

I agree $20 for an Oak Grove game would be alot, I think thats a grade school! Oak Hill on the other hand is a different story. (Just kidding with you):lol:

I personally like this format, then at the end of season have the regular Sweet 16 at Rupp. It would be interesting to see how many teams make both trips.

This could be a school rule, not one from the KHSAA, maybe to keep a player from quitting the basketball team to start practice in baseball, or maybe football to basketball. Good rule if all programs work together.

Monster game by Strange, seems like he has been playing for Pineville at least a decade! Maybe the best guard in the 13th for his overall game. Who do they play in the finals of the All A?

Corbin is rolling! Radio said this was 15 in a row, 18 and 2 overall, they will be a tough out for anyone the rest of the way!

Looks like W'burg caught South at the perfect time, South had a really tough game vs Whitley on Friday and a long road game on Sat., then come back for a game on Monday, seems like South overlooked them alittle, bet they won't next go around. Great job by the Jackets to almost pull off a huge upset.

Things have went well so far for the Jackets and looks like their schedule has been part of the success. They have a good team no doubt, but games later againest Corbin, Bell, Knox, and Clay (IMO the hardest teams left) will show how good they are. I'm sure people in the 13th respect them.

I agree better pay would lead to better talent, but most schools look at the bottom line and think like they pay to much now. Accountability would be fine if carried out fairly, much like any profession.

You know when you think about it your comment could be true for coaches and players as well, good ones and bad ones, fans to.

I agree with you about improvement, but where is this greater pool of talent supposed to come from? I would never attempt to officate any type game, I know a few who do and its a tough job. They always say "try it sometime," I say no way!

Probley not an upset, B'ville is an ok team when they get anything from their big man inside, LC has been struggling their last 3 or 4 games. Looking at their schedule they play Red Bird next, so they will get well soon.

Hope you watched another game 6 minutes is a short time to drive a long way then turnaround and go back. I agree Les, St. John is a D1 prospect now, not will be.

Rains is a solid coach and has really has W'burg playing well.

9 is a pretty big number, maybe they will start rolling once they all jell and focus on basketball.

Every now and then these smarter than the head coaches assistants take the head guys job when things go alittle wrong, I agree with you on having a top notch staff. The assistants and others just have to keep in mind who is in charge.
