Whitley County 54 South Laurel 14
nomorenoles replied to Deuce41's topic in KY Football (High School)
Are you saying Welch has no class along with an inability to coach. This sounds like a good combination. -
Whitley County/Pulaski County predictions
nomorenoles replied to Colonel Nation's topic in KY Football (High School)
Pulaski is better than most people give them credit for but Whitley is beginning to play inspired football. Colonels by 10. -
St. X by 15. Until somebody beats X I'm going with them. They are clearly the best 6A team.

Whitley County/ South Laurel Predictions
nomorenoles replied to Rob Zombie's topic in KY Football (High School)
Whitley is finally beginning to play well. They will begin their run in the playoffs with an easy win against SL. -
Lynn Camp was one call from finishing 4th in the district.

Bell County/Greenup County Predictions
nomorenoles replied to Commander 25's topic in KY Football (High School)
4 people voted for Grenup but nobody will express why they think Greenup will win. Bell by a bunch. -
North Laurel 48 Jackson County 0
nomorenoles replied to MountainThunder's topic in KY Football (High School)
Coach Larkey is the rudder on the NL ship. Pat the administration at North on the back for a great hire. They will be very competitive in their district from this point forward. -
Why would a one point game between two evenly matched teams shock you? I listened to the last part of this one on the radio and it sounded as if Ryan Moses would not let the Jackets lose. He has had a great career at Williamsburg and will be irreplaceable. Stan was more excited than normal if that is believeable. Sounds like a great game between two teams who left it on the field.

Coach Mills has got his kids peaking at the right time. His kids have got progressively better this year.

Watts made big plays all night. He had many big plays for the Raiders to keep drives alive. Roark is hard to tackle but Watts is one of those kids you can defend perfectly and he will still end up standing in the end zone. Lynn Camp played very hard but Watts would make a big play to snap their momentum at every turn. He also throws a very nice ball. I thought he was just an athlete playing quarterback but he is a very good quarterback. His long touchdown after the half was another back breaker much like the kickoff return. Very enjoyable game to watch between two teams getting after each other.

Boyle County 21 Christian County 0

Rebs appear to be one of those teams of destiny this year. Some times the stars and moons align and this appears to be one of those years for them much like Bell was last year. -
Whitley County 42 Rockcastle County 6
nomorenoles replied to Rob Zombie's topic in KY Football (High School)
I don't believe the chip will be much help. South has improved from earlier in the year but Whitley is beginning to put the pieces togeather. -
Has Middlesboro given up? They don't appear to be giving a very good effert.

North Laurel vs Jackson County predictions
nomorenoles replied to MountainThunder's topic in KY Football (High School)
NL by a bunch. Coach Larkey has them on the right path. -
This probably has to do with the Wall/Clifton situation and Kentucky being very careful not to inadvertantly create any violations.

Top 10 teams in the Mountains?
nomorenoles replied to Log Mountain Boy's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
McCreary definitely feels like your still in the mountains when you drive over there. The 50th district will trade South Laurel to the 12th region for McCreary Central. S.L. acts like a bunch of flatlanders anyway. If you can justify putting the Laurel County schools in differant disticts you can justify putting them in differant regions. -
South Laurel 2009/2010
nomorenoles replied to gold sunrise's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Is Karr eligible at South? He could be key to them being clearly the best team in the region. They are close without him but he would make a big differance. -
Any D1, D2 or D3's watching?
nomorenoles replied to Perfect Practice's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Watts from McCreary has D1 ability but is a better football player. He is also a very good baseball player. It will be interresting to see what he plays and where he plays it. St. John South Laurel is clearly the best player in the 12th or 13th outside of Watts. I have heard that Coastal Carolina is showing some interest. -
Williamsburg 2009/2010
nomorenoles replied to gold sunrise's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Coach Vernon and Coach Robinson are fine young men. Brent has surely picked up a little along the way. Growing up with his dad and brother he has been exposed to basketball his whole life. His wife was a better player than him and I believe her dad was a coach. He can't go to the in laws and escape shop talk. Barton himself told me he was playing so I expect to see him out there. C.J. Jones should be a big help this year also with his length and athletiscm. Daniel Pettit is a big kid who if he wants can play. Cory Fleenor is my favorite with his take no prisoners approach. If they could get Root to play they would be ready to roll. Cameron Smoak is becoming a big kid and if he can stay out of the way of his feet he should give them some valuable minutes. -
Boyle County/Christian County Predictions
nomorenoles replied to Hatz's topic in KY Football (High School)
Boyle is special this year. They win in a close one. This sounds like a great warm up for the playoffs. There will definitely be a playoff atmosphere. -
Letcher is 1 in the reion with Whitley closing the gap. Harlan is 3rd. PC is 4th and NL is probably 5th. NL may well have won the other district and are out of the playoffs.
