North Laurel 33 Clay County 8

The common thread with Mills and Larkey is they teach their teams to be tough and execute. They do not try to overwhelm you with their genius. Their mentors Tom Larkey and Dudley have to be proud. -
Usually the worse team turns it over so it sounds like the best team won.

He is a good looking athlete and probably should handle the ball on offense the next two years.

SL is playing better but the Warriors will be to tough at home. SW by 14. -
McCreary should score early and often. Roark and Watts could both have big games. McCreary by 25.

Rockcastle/Madison Southern Predictions

Rock rolls. Madison Southern has not showed me that they have stepped up their game to play with the big boys in this tough district. -
The Rebels are a force and should roll through their district. The admirals are having one of those years which they have not had for a long time. They will bounce back and remind everybody that they are Danville.

Corbin vs George Rogers Clark

Clark County did not pick an easy touch for homecoming. The homecoming dance could be a sad affair. -
The Rams willbe way to much for Paris. This will be a blowout.

Williamsburg is a mash unit. Moses is doing a great job holding them togeather. J.P. Payne is growing up. They missed Pettit on both sides of the ball. Hopefully they can get by Clinton County and get some of the wounded back for the stretch run. Collins has been a warrior this year on both sides of the ball. Berea played hard and are well coached but still don't have the horses. They have some very good athletes but overall are small. I see them being much better next year. #3 ran by Williamsburg all night and 7 will be a force on D. They could well be competitive in the district next year.

This sounds like a special bunch of Bunnies. Is there anyone in their district who can plat with them?

Bell will roll. Not because KC is bad but they are that good. -

This game probably decided the district championship and who gets LCA the second week of the playoffs. Raceland isn't a much better game but at least it will be at home. The mash unit at Williamsburg will have a hard time matching up with either of these teams. -
Bell County 42 Rockcastle County 6

Bell is beginning to roll in typical Bell fashion. A Bell /Boyle matchup could be in the future. -

3wishes it can't be a long time since the Bears had a bad start in that they didn't exist a long time ago. The loss of a good bunch of seniors like the Bears had last year make it tough the next year. If anybody can get it turned around it is Coach Larkey. -

Coach Larkey is a Godsend at North. I believe he will do for North what Coach Mills has done for KC. They will always be fundamentally sound and physical. The Larkey and Hilton schools of football are proven commodities. -
How many thrillers has Pulaski played in this year? I thought that they werte getting on track for district but took a step backwards tonight.

Huge win for the Cards. District wins are always big but this one has to help their confidence. The Mehler kid told they would win before they got on the bus. He said they weren't going to ride that far to lose.

I wish I could have saw this game. It sounds like a very entertaining game from two great teams. Can they play again next week so that I can make it? I'm sure that they could sell out for a rematch. -
Knox Central 34 McCreary Central 6
nomorenoles replied to HouseofPain's topic in KY Football (High School)
Coach Mills learned trench warfare from the master, Dudley Hilton. KC was able to take advantage of the matchup which was to their advantage. Coach Mills has got the Panthers were I expected them to be earlier. I believe the Raiders will bounce back and continue their excellent season. -
This Corbin team seems to have improved a ton from the gridorama. They sould easily win their district.

Knox Central/McCreary Central Predictions

A wet field favors Knox. Coach Mills is a Dudley disciple. -
Dudley created programns At schools that had been losers prior to his arrival. He won a state champioship at Bourbn County which had been chronic uderachiever prior to his arrival. If not the best he should be included in the conversation.

Whitley's skill people should be the differance. They have a bunch of weapons. I would like to see Wynn get more touches. He is extremely dangerous. -

I believe this game was close until the last couple of minutes of the first half. In the second half the wheels came off.
