Nobody is perfect. There were some calls missed both ways, as there are in every game. Two teams played hard and provided a very entertaining game for those of us lucky enough to see it. The crew member from Williamsburg is probably the worst ref in SE Ky. He does not understand the game well enough to cheat anybody. I have watched him call football, girls and boys basketball, softball and baseball from little league to varsity and he has been bad in all sports at all levels. He is good man who does very well in his chosen profession but is lousy when you hand him a whistle. I believe he calls soccer and volleyball also but can not comment on his abilities there because I have never seen him call those sports. He waived off 3 calls that he made in the 4th quarter of this game. He is like bad weather both teams have to play with him calling. You never know when he is going to make a totally inane call. Kick him upstairs and let him assign officials and keep him away from the field. He is honest but inept, the Barney Fife of refs. -
Bell County 34 Whitley County 7
nomorenoles replied to campbellfield's topic in KY Football (High School)
I thought the personel in this game was fairly close. Bell's big game experience was the differance. Whitley was tight early on put the ball on the ground with out being touched. Once Whitley got behind it was game over. Whitley lost their swagger and Bell smelled blood. This is the reason plays this game and Bell played Alcoa. It gives your kids the big game experience. Whitley struggled last year because they did not think they could beat Bell but this year it was the opposite they thought they could win and when they fell behind they were crushed by their own expectations. Bell is very good and if you do not have better personel than they do you are not going to beat them. King Dudley will not permit that to happen. Whitley is very good and I believe this will help their kids be ready for their next big game. -
Good to see the Campers get off their losing streak. It is much easier when you don't play the Steelers and Patriots every week.

McCreary Central is probably on their way to their best season. Knox Central is beatable. That should be a very good game. Coach Gay needs to take easy on his home boys next week. What were the numbers for the Dynamic Duo Watts and Roark? -

What were Moses' numbers tonight? -
It sounds like Corbin is beginning to get their mojo. I'm glad to hear that Fritts is beginning to play like himslf again. He is very talented and will make Corbin very hard to stop.

They didn't stop the pass either. The Jackets played hard but were just outmanned. Ryan Moses is playing phenominal this year. He is worth the price of admission. Petit is also playing like a man this year. Williamsburg showed a lot of improvement tonight. They must figure out how to keep the other team from scoring if they are going to win. -
The Bunnies are for real.
