Mills has got KC in a spot were they will be good every year. They are much like Bell in that if they have got linemen and running backs they will be hard to beat. From what I am reading here that will be their strength this year.

South doesn't have the one stud pitcher but they have a very good staff. They hit the ball well and really know how to play the game. Pitching usually wins big games so I would give Bullit East the edge. But if South gets by this one it will be hard for anybodies number 2 to beat them. The Adams kid has won all the clinching games for South and I would expect that he could keep them in this game.

Big Rob will get the Raiders to the Sweet 16 this year. He has the best team and best player.

St. John's is far away #1. Miller is probably number 2.

Embry-Riddle got a good one. Is the school that Moose from Owsley County went to after their All A final?

Coach Evans is a good coach and a class guy. It sounds to reasonable for this hire to be done.

Corbin has improved tremendously but North remains on another level. South has come back to the pack.

The Cards offense has been extremely explosive since post season began.

How does the coaching change at K.C. effect these predictions? The Sizemore kid at South is a perimeter player at South also. I believe that Coach Broughton was saved from eating crow. His kid will be at K.C. next year. South, Corbin, K.C., Clay will battle it out next year. Where will Miller be at next year? North Laurel has the inside tract. That would make them very competitive.

8 years is a long time to survive at Knox Central. Politics are ugly there and change frequently. Todays hero may be fired tomorrow. Good luck to Coach Elam.

St. John is a horse with great skills. South has hid in Tn. this spring but the word is he has taken his game up a notch. He is a young kid who is still growing. Good feet and great hands to go along with his 6'9" 250 plus body.

Who is South throwing? This is the least South has scored in several games.

Ryan Moses will have to step up in that most of the big boys up front are gone. LeBanion's value to the Colonels is much larger than his stats reflect. He is the engineer of that offense. There have been some great Quarterbacks in eastern Ky the last several years and I think these kids will continue that tradition. McCreary County is definitely Eastern Kentucky. I don't think of Watts as a quarterback but just a football player because were ever he plays he is the best player on the field. Football is probably his best sport and if he plays it in college I would think that it would be in the defensive backfield. But he may decide basketball or baseball.

McCreary has progressively got better the last couple of years. They could make a giant jump forward this year. Watts is a big time player and there are several other kids including Roark who anybody would love to have on their roster. They need to improve on defense. They gave up way to many points last year. Watts is great starting place. He is probably one of the top safeties in the state. The Raiders could be much better next year and not see very many more victories. But I expect their opponents will know they were there.

The Rock is always tough up front. When they have skill people they are as good as anyone. Don't underestimate Whitley they may be better than last year's 12-2 bunch.

Who pitched for South? They are on a roll.

Good hire for Letcher Central. Good move for Whitaker.

They might throw Conlin. Barton is their best pitcher but threw a bunch of pitches in the first Whitley game. Two big games in three days is asking a lot of a freshman.

Coach Leddington is one of the best coaches in the 13th. He was a huge factor in the success that Corbin had in the years he was there. I have only seen the Colonels once but they looked very solid. I expect that they will get progessively better as the year goes along. Wlliamsburg is struggling and Whitley took advantage of their weaknesses. They are not being very productive offensively and their pitchers must learn to hold runners.

Will the Eagles spread the field out and throw it all over the place like Coach Chapel did at South Laurel? If so it may take all night to play their game with Williamsburg.

LCA is loaded this year. They need to hold people under 30 and they will be fine with their ability to put up points.

Watts needs to be there. This is a real good bunch. Maybe not the 5 star kids but there are a lot of kids who can play.

I heard that the 12th is getting the Madison County schools and sending the Jessamine County schools to the 11th.

Crawford had a great game and great career. He is a fine young man and will do well in life after he puts the ball down.

Whitley has much of their line back. The Bowling kid ran a smoking 100 meters at a track meet this week. Wynn and Bramlett will pick up more carries . Alex Patrick has grown some and ran a 4.6 40 at spring practice. With LeBanion back to run the offense the Colonels will be able to move football. This is a great schedule and hopefully it will prepare them to make another long run in the playoffs.
