Referring to XTIGER69 post # 16 You must not catch many high shool broadcasts. All I can say is if your "many Trinity friends" have listened to enoughTHS radio to know they're "the worst ever", then I suggest they contact the athletic office or administration to let them know. I know THS is concerened w/their image, and if "the many Trinity friends" are real fans they should demand a worthy product... not "the worst ever". AMEN!!!

My hat is off to BG what a wonderful game they played tonight. Nice D with the 3-5-3. Offensive play calling was a very nice mix. Good luck the rest of the year. I think we will being watching BG in December again.

I look for the Purples to give the ground game to the Rocks and try and keep the O from scoring quick with the passing game long drives eat time. The Purples will have to use some well balanced play calling to both score and use time. That said BG would have to score 21pts in the first three quarters to keep it close with another 7 in the fourth for a victory as I know T can score that much with our running game. It will take 28pts plus a whale of an effort from the Purple D. Good luck to both teams. Gooooo Rocksssssss

Trinity will win this game but not by much as I think the key will be running the ball utilizing our OL to control the game. BG has some very athletic players on D who can cover our pass routes well enough that you don't want to let them jump up on a score with interceptions for TD'S, this being our first game. So based on that and also the Bolye game BG has to prove they can stop the run.

I will say this and it should sum it up for all concerned. Look at 05 and tell me that any of this preseason has that much meaning. Trinity looks good so far but that means nothing at this point just as it means nothing that X looks to most as just ok. I will say that baring injuries we will see an X,T final in 6A this year. After that flip a coin 05 taught us all that fact.

These two teams (LexCath and Scott Co.) are good programs but in no way are they on in the class of X from Cinn. The Rocks have much work to do before we get to that game including win two games. Trinity was better last night then the week before so we are making good strides.

Do we have an official start time of 7pm or 7:30.

Male was listed as having 900 boys in the school last year.

RRR you don't need to sneak into the season you are Manual with a proud tradition use it. This is what the teams of the past 5-6 years have been working for the respect word, you got it, now run with it. Good luck

I know that X has great coaching it has been proven time and again. Sometimes you really have to listen to what your former players are saying as coaches and make the change. I think MG really looked at that game and said we fooled T with the scheme and won big. When in reality what happened is he got the ball to all of the play makers in the O and kicked our you know what. I will say that we did not do what we were supposed to do with our DE play which was changed for the title game but that would have ownly IMHO made a better game of it, with the same outcome. X was it's own worst by not continuing with that total offensive scheme. People have questioned Bob Redmen for years about that D he runs when playing against good passing teams and the titles he has lost out on because of it I think the same can be said of MG and I am not trying to knock him at all I just think he could have won a few more titles.

I think this will be a very good test for both teams. I like the pressure LC will put on our D. It will test our ability to stop the pass and our speed to close on the ball. The o will get a beter sense of where the passing game is as LC has in the past had very good DB's so I would expect the same this year.

Luck I would agree that the passing game is lacking but for what X does and does to everyone year in and year out very very well I would say Glaser is correct in what he does offensively. Having said that I would look back to the 04 regular season against Trinity when X used the short passing game to purfection. This made the running game that much better. If you look back to the great seventy teams again the short passing game(TE) was very powerful for that Offense. Anyway JMO on X but I think for X to reach the top again they must be effective with the short passing game.

I will third and pass the motion that coach Mckee was loud and passionate about getting his players to do things the right way and play hard but he was not negative or abusive.

I was not very impressed with this Scott team some good spead but not as good in the line play as I have seen in the past. Trinity looked good at times but has much work to do in the running game. Stein was very good at times with the deep ball his timing will keep getting better and better. The passing game is ahead at this point IMO. The O-line as had been said in another thread is still working on finding chemistry and I agree. Defense could be very good this season against the run but we need work in the secondary, I think we will get a better feel next week with Lex-Cath in town.

I was told that the last play called was to be a pass to Doug in the end zone but the QB ran instead. I have not seen the play on film and how it all unfolded but individuals clam Doug was wide open in the middle of the end zone with his arms up. All I know is that we won the game and the title. It was a great run. I did not vote for my rocks as the best team on this poll because I still think that Male had more talent and should have won. I think the biggest factor in the last two years for Trinity in big games is we have fantastic coaches. I honestly think we will have more talent on the field this year as a whole. Final note if you say the best team is the one with the total package of players and coaches I think without question trinity was the best in 06 at all levels but not by players alone.

That would be the young man a very good power runner. Did he play college ball anywhere.

Villa I think you are referring to the Elder back since we have not played Colerin. I remember the main back utilized most of the night from Elder being 5'11 around 195-200 could be wrong though.

Leatherneck great point about T and X. MBA caused us great problems in the fisrt game for the past two seasons because they are a very good program which had already played one game and more importantly for the very reasons of which you just gave. This would be more true of the 05 season then last year. We got out coached in the forth quarter as our D did not make the ajustments needed to finish the game. Point is your analysis is right on. PH I have read many of your comments in the past and once again you are on target. I love when the better programs in the state play each other it only makes KYHSF that much better. Good luck in your openning game see you in the Ville week two.
