Sorry it has been a long time since I was involved with grade school coaching so not sure on the names but I do know the QB is headed to X. Thats all I know others from OLOL could give a better picture.

If Ryan Frederick is anything close to his father in talent he will do the Rocks proud.
-
58 or 67 he is the best coach and one of the best people I have ever worked with, X missed out.
-
I don't know if it was that so much as Mike wanted to come back and we are glad to have him. When the Rocks roll this Sept maybe the X faithful should ask Mike a 58 Alum to come home and take over. I bet he would have won with that 05 squad.:jump:

I coached with Mike W(head Frosh coach) for several years he does not play that game best kids play. If a kid can play he will find the best position for them.

St.X without question is a power house in both sports and academics and deserves all the praise and awards they have recieved. They are just not as good as the Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!! This coming from a son of an X grade so take as a jab not any other way. -
Trinity's Jordan Whiting....

Too big for LB are you kidding me. 6'0 225 is not that large. Chuck Smith at UofK has him as the number one LB on his list. The kid has two years of High School to go he will be just fine. -
Yes and prior to that we helped X twice end long streaks. We rather enjoyed those!!!!!!!!

I know we wanted it not sure about Boyle something to do with games set. Should have played before the streak became an issue. I remember seeing a lot of the boys from Boyle watching the 01 title game Trinity and Male after they had just won their title. Would have been a great matchup in 02. I can not remember the QB's name from Boyle in those days but I remember that he was very impressive.

Who will be the next football coach at Henderson County?
Biotech replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
After everything that has happened over the last year these kids deserve the best coach the school can get. I hope it works out for the best Henderson is a good place with great potential. -
Yes

The tranfer from X is playing. Rocks are palying around with the line to find the guards and center. No word on the other two players you mentioned.

Do you boo players or the coaching staffs
Biotech replied to newarkcatholicfan's topic in KY Football (High School)
Once you have been a coach and been on both sides of the winning championships and having a bad season you learn to filter out many comments by the fans. Kids should never be booed. -
I agree that it will happen but I do not see it happening in the top 6A classification not even in the 5A to much competition in these classes once you get to the playoffs, not to mention most of these teams will be playing strong out of class teams or for that matter out of state teams just to fill out the ten game season.

No, the head coach is Mike and Bill who was the head coach in the mid seventies also long time coach at Uof K and then Lex Catholic is the DL coach.

Eric Shelton in 99 from BS -
Anyone go to the 7on7 last night at Trinity? Toughts?
-
I hear that Mike G. is coaching the OL fulltime this year, if true X will be very solid he is an excellent line coach.

Does anyone have places or dates on 7 on 7 competition?

Thanks -
Regular season is for real. When I played only two teams went to the playoffs from each district. In those days some very good teams got left out. I know that some think that the playoffs have been a joke but I do see a lot of good teams, they have just not gotten to the level of the few. I like what teams are doing this year with scheduling. PRP has long been a hot beb of ahteltic talent we shell see if they can produce a program many have long thought possible. Anyway I only agree with you to a point. This year I feel the winds of change coming. It is going to be an interesting ride. I predict that it will not be one of the Big three that wins the first 6A title.
