  1. By that logic a freshman should be able to walk into Ohio State and not be intimidated. these are still kids, D-1 or not. And besides they are not all D-1 kids. Plenty of non D-1 guys out there. #33 the Sophmore DE was playing due to the Starting DE #44 (6'6" 240) who was out with an injury from last weeks game. So your telling me that the Sophmore getting his first Start on Varsity, at UC, in the Herbstreit Challenge.... your right, no reason to get nervous...... Lots of those types of players out there. TM rotates OL, WR, DB, DL, etc. Just like Ohio State does, to get their feet wet, Injuries just pushed some farther along forward. Not making any excuses but don't disrespect the kids, by making a blanket statement like that.
  2. After a night to sleep on it, the thing that sticks out in my head is that the HHS kicker was AWESOME. TM starting on the 20 everytime, and on the flip side it seemed that HHS was starting on the 40 or 50 most everytime. Thats a whole lot shorter field. TM had to drive the length of the field 2 times and scored on both. Personally I thought that Both Offenses moved the ball very easily. HHS missed some opportunities with fumbles. TM also left 14 points on the board as well. Goal Line and right before half fumble inside the 20. Neither Defense had an answer for the others Offense. TM was a little star struck early on in the game due to being in the herbie and at UC it seemed.
  3. http://www.twoodfootball.com couple of write ups on the game.
  4. Wanted to stop by and congratulate HHS. I thought TM would do MUCH better. But the slow start killed them. Both teams made a ton of mistakes. But TM not scoring from the 1 then dropping the TD pass on 4th down was just crazy. Then the first half fumble in the Red Zone hurt as well. Of course TM needs to learn how to play Run defense. That was killing them all night. That and the kickoffs by TM. lots of lost yardage there. and HHS kicker was in the end zone everytime. I also can question the fake punt call, they were stuffing HHS O at the time. Pin them back and gain some field position. TM will be fine for the playoffs, D2 is not as grueling as D1 in Ohio. And to be honest HHS runs the ball very well, their OL is VERY good.
  5. Thats noting, but a disgruntled couple of coaches who lost kids from their program because they run bad programs. And the coach who started it all, has a public fued going on with the Trotwood school district. Its really all ridiculous. And if anyone puts any stock into this they are wasting their time and energy. Oh yeah.... GAME DAY!
  6. I love this post. Will be a great game fellas, I look for both teams to play hard and fight till the end.
  7. Jimmy's and Joe's???? I know this is all in fun. And I as much as anyone like to fuel the fire....LOL show a little gamesmanship. Personally, I see this game as a good matchup. Its my understanding there are a lot of 2 way players for HHS. And I think Trotwood will wear them down. Trotwood has 1 player going both ways and he rotates on both sides of the ball. So I do not think the same game will be played in the 3rd and 4th as in the 1st and early 2nd quarters.
  8. Shaw is one of Ohio's fastest players. Won the national track meet as well. Videos on http://www.twoodfootball.com then click player videos. And Shaw will be playing RB at Penn State. Passing on Michigan, Florida, Nebraska, Tennessee, and WVU. But I guess HHS has 2 better RB as well.
  9. Come on now, on that video, 1 WR went to Eastern Michigan, 1 to Michigan, 1 to Purdue. QB going to UC, passed on WVU, Minnesota, Nebraska, Illinois, and Oregon. I doubt HHS has any QB's better than Britt. I think its jsut your bias. How many offers does Cecil have? Can Guidugli beat out Cecil? Thats what I thought. Trotwood is on a Mission this season. HHS will soon find out. They played Colerain to 7-6 loss to the Cards in the Game scrimmage. Trotwood will be ready for HHS, the question is who has HHS faced to be ready for what Trotwood is going to throw at them?
  10. FWIW Britt completed 76% of his passes last week. Last years OL was not that good. This years is MUCH better. Bigger, Stronger, Faster. Probably the best OL Trotwood has had in some years. That highlight clip was not an accurate sampling of his play. The Trotwood O is all about short to intermediate passing. With some shots down field. And I assure you 4.69 is not what he runs. He will be faster than most anyone on the field. Just wait, you'll see.
  11. 5 Cov Cath 3 Trotwood-Madison, OH 3 Henry Clay 1 Lexington Cath 1 Breathitt County 1 Lexington Christian 1 Ashland Blazer 1 Desales 1 South Laurel 1 Owensboro Tiebreaker #1 32
  12. TM is better than Col. De Sales. Not a D1 like Elder, X, Moeller, or Colerain. People in Cincy tend to look down on D2 schools but that is a good division of football. A D2 but still a good football team. Who scrimmaged Colerain, and in the game situation played them to a 6-7 loss, but Colerain O did not score in the game portion of it. They did score 3 times in the Goal Line part of the scrimmage. Plus the TM Kicker who also punts, was out of town die to family. So the Freshman kicker and they rotated punters went vs Colerain.
  13. In Ohio your playoff position has everything to do with the records of the teams you beat. Last yr TM had some teams who did not win as much as they normally do. And in the playoffs 2 OL and 2 DL were out due to injury as well as TM was playing their 3rd string RB due to other injuries. Make no mistake, Highlands will be facing a good football team, who has all gotten into the Fox hole, and on a mission this season.
