Anyone go to the 7on7 last night at Trinity? Toughts?

One word on last night's events: Speed. Alright two words: Unbelievable speed.

Robey playing TE!!! Could be a weapon. Only team that gave T a run for their money was Western then CAL. Appeared offense hasn't missed a step from last year. Defense, saftey allowed a few TD's by going after the pass instead of playing the receiver. One of the DB's did a great job in defending and intercepting. Defense was missing two returners from last year, so the leadership was lacking alittle. Overall, not a bad showing for the first time out.

Was Bobby Petrino playing? I have heard rumors he will return to THS.

It was fun to see Nick Petrino talking with Brian Brohm (and OC Coach Coverdale) on the sidelines. Five state championships and , if I'm not mistaken, five championship game MVP's between them. Maybe new QB Will Stein can be added to that esteemed group. He threw the ball very well, IMO, and seems to be very quick afoot . By all accounts he is a very intelligent kid. Trinity seems to have quite a few speedy players on both sides of the ball. LB Weitlauf did not dress. There is a lot of work to be done, however. Nobody has won a single game in early June.

I recall that Weitlauf was injured at the end of last season during the playoffs. Did he cover from that injury? Why did he not dress? He is a top notch LB. I enjoy watching him play. Thanks for any info.

I don't know for sure. Someone said he was waiting for doctor's clearance. That isn't much of an answer. Sorry.

I hope that him not playing now is not as a result of the injury from last November. Maybe this is unrelated and not serious.

 

I remember a couple of years ago when Graham Switzer was playing like a man against boys his junior year, suffered an injury and sat out his senior year. I thought he was a D1 lock. I sure hope that Wes will be ready to go in August. Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks. "GO ROCKS"

I had heard that one of last years starters O/L K Griffin was working out with the O- line at the center position recently, is this true or rumor? I don't think that he was at the 7 on 7 games last Friday, does anyone have any info about this?

 

I thought that W. Stein, looked great Friday, pretty quick on his feet, smart kid, I hope that he is as successful as his former teammates were at QB.

 

What happened to the kid who transfered from X (Slayton) is he still playing football.

 

Sad times at Rockland with the terrible news of LSU Rock passing, our prayers are with him and his family. :cry:

The tranfer from X is playing. Rocks are palying around with the line to find the guards and center. No word on the other two players you mentioned.
