4A Championship: Ryle vs. Trinity
Trinity's o-line is great. They open up holes all over the place. Secret service type. The d-line is pretty good at pash rushing, but in the box, Trinity is great at stopping the run. Petrino has a knack for separating recievers from the ball with quick feet and hard hits. The corners are suspect against prime time recievers, but ryle has none of those, or at least not comparable to Minnifield, Jeter. I got to see ryle play against Dunbar earlier this year. Saw Trinity play friday night. Trinity will suprise many of the ryle posters with their speed and balance. I thought that HC was a faster team, but the route running at T is borderline incredible. If ryle has a weakness in the secondary, it's on film and Cov will expose it. When I saw ryle play at Dunbar, I really didn't think they would make it this far. Congrats on them for getting better, but I'm with the rocks in a blowout.

3A Championship: Covington Catholic vs Bowling Green
Sutton, Bovard, and the QB are good, but they aren't Burke, Caldwell, and Burbage. This will indeed be a close one, but BG is one of the top5 teams in the state, probably right behind Trinity and Mercer. CovCath is also a top5 team, but I think BG is just a little better. It will be one worth watching, but BG wins.

2A Championship: Russell vs. Mercer County
Yes russell is a very good team, and also the defending state champs. Clark is a stud. But the Titans are great. Don't think I've seen a team with as much speed and talent as Mercer. The coaching they have helps also. Mercer by 30.

1A Championship: New Cath vs Danville
I think it's been a good run for the breds. Danville seems real hungry right now, and are a balanced act. The traditional Ads teams have been star based, but their really hasn't been a consistant headliner with this bunch. Even if vicars plays, still think Danville wins.

BluegrassPreps.com/Kentucky News Network Player of the week!
Not yet, but that can definately change this week. As for the stats, definately deserving player of the week. I'd say right now he's in the top 10, but not the top 5. Again, that can change after this week though. A win and a big game will not only change the mind of many, but possibly set up a finals matchup of two studs (Grimm and Hibbett).

The New Playoff System Is So Bad....
I think you might be wrong on this one, as well as many others. I don't think their is that much of a gap in 4A this year. We'll see in the next two weeks.

Bowling Green vs Central
Poss. game of the year.
-
NCC 46 Raceland 27
They could play a non-district game early or late next season.

The New Playoff System Is So Bad....
The new system has produced some great matchups in the playoffs. It prevents coaches from getting idea matchups from the other district and will make teams prepare harder to win that district championship, thus making better in-state products.

The New Playoff System Is So Bad....
It rotates yearly.

Trinity 38 Male 34
The classic matchup of all-time. Congrats to both teams. See you rocks on friday. I hope to meet some of you.

NCC 46 Raceland 27
1. great effort by the Rams. 2. seems like NCC just wore them down with depth and that comes from coaching. 3. If Raceland has or is developing talent in their youth programs, they'll be a contender real soon. 4. Who will be the first team in that region to win the elusive regional championship? 5. EE, told ya!

Henry Clay 21 George Rogers Clark 7
GRC suprised me in this one. Thought they'd get blown out, but since I've seen them last, they have gotten alot better in the trenches. Just came up short. Keep your head up CARDS.

Trinity vs Henry Clay. Who wins and Why?
HC in a close one, but i'll be cheering for both teams.

The Big Three 2007?
Tall or short?

The Big Three 2007?
Who will replace Petrino at QB?

Male #3 in the Nation
Better maybe, but much better, NO. What are you basing this on? Okay, Cincy schools beat HHS and CovCath almost every year, but they don't blow them out. And as of here lately, neither have brought home much hardwear from the pizza box. X, Colrain, Elder, Moeller are good yearly, but so is X, Trinity, Male, Highlands, LexCath. And before chuck left Boyle, they were pretty tough too. I think it depends more on the matchups than anything and so far, Ohio has been getting their idea matchups. This statement didn't come out in '02 when the big 3 would have each beaten the Ohio state champs (Elder). And I don't think that either Trinity or Male couldn't hold their own against the top two teams in Ohio.

Male #3 in the Nation
In '02 Trinity was no.4 and Male should've at least been in the top 10.

Henry Clay (11-1) at George Rogers Clark (8-4)
Yes, and from what i saw, GRC couldn't cover Jeter or Boyd at all. Each of them dropped two WIDE OPEN passes behind everyone. The only difficult that i seen any player on HC having in that scrimmage was the altercation that occured. And another note for ya, Minnifield didn't even dress for the scrimmage. And we all know how that is when he's added in. Please don't tell me that he wouldn't have made that much of a difference? You'll get to see him friday night though.

Henry Clay (11-1) at George Rogers Clark (8-4)
Beatty has more kids, coaches, support, state titles, and of a selection of kids to choose from. Trinity benefits from a Private school enviroment any way you want to put it. Kudos because they do an excellent job of playing team ball. The fan base helps too. With what Sam has to take due to school district and what limitless boundaries beatty has to choose from, I'd say Sam is close. I think this will be decided next week on Fontaine Rd. Good luck against Male. HC rest their starters in this one midway through the third quarter.

Male 33 St. Xavier 7
I wasn't talking about this year's LexCath team, but last year uf they would've played X at a later date, they would've beat them. Sorry for the confusion.

Best playoff Rivalries?
Dunbar vs. Tates Creek, Boone Co., Scott Co. LexCath vs. Boyle Co. St. X vs. Male Trinity vs. 4A
-
Henry Clay (11-1) at George Rogers Clark (8-4)
Disagree. There are two things that can always cause talent problems. Coaching and enviroment. Playing at Trinity would be hard for the buckeyes. The best crowd in KY, the facilities, and the alumni. Green everywhere. Trinity is used to those kind of games, while Lexington is trying to catch-up. Not to mention the number of players in uniform. Kind-of makes you feel a little fatigued before kick-off. psych thing. Sam is close, but not Beatty, and especially not Coverdale (super genious). Talent is talent, but useless when affected by the factors mentioned above.

Male 33 St. Xavier 7
That was my point. During the season, last year and this year, all you heard about was the X O-line and VA. opponents like T and H will always bring out the best in X, but are they the best the second time around? The worst thing for X is playing a power twice in a season. If they'd played catholic again, they would've gotten beat by at least 2 scores. LexCath was still trying to fine tune its self when they played X.

Top 3 Teams in Class A eliminated
No balance, just overrated teams. LCA and Pikeville, both overrated. Pikeville had a good summer and played well early. LCA is getting too much credit for winning that district.
