Natalie Novesel of Lexington Catholic, she is a great player from a high profile program.

I saw Dunbar play a couple of weeks ago and they are for real. They have beaten Lexington Catholic twice this year, something that hasn't been done in the regular season in a while. Dunbar can play defense and we all know that defense wins games.

I think that Middleboro belongs in the top ten.

Paris is finally beginning to come around this season. Coach Brooks has a group of girls that are ready for anything. I'll take Paris by 8.

Christopher was actually called for the foul on the play. The injury occured as the two players rolled over.

I think I see a pattern. Hazard found a way to win at end.

Lee County played very well. Owsley County looked lost at times on the court.

Estill County handles the ball well and Powell has trouble with teams with good guard play. Powell County is playing well as a team. Hard to call this one. Estill by 3.

Good district win for the Bobcats. Time to right the ship.

It is true that in the last few years Powell County and Lee County have had their share of on the court (add off) incidents. But, Powell County and Estill County have the biggest rivalry. Border rivals for years, now in the same district. Similar size schools that just seem to take great pride in beating each other in any sport at any time.

Covering all the local sports that are going on at the same time can be challenging. Someone is always asking why aren't you covering this game or that game. Not enough room or time to cover all games. But, you have to cover the games that are HUGE in local sports.

I have doubted Rose Hill before this year. But, Elliott County should win by 8 in a close one.

Great game. Knott Central came back to win in overtime. Meagan Moseley had 28 points for Knott. Courtney Jones and Kendra McFarland had 17 each for Powell County.

Cordia is a team that could sneak up and defeat one of the big 2. Lee County is always tough at home in Beattyville.

It was a shame that everyone in this part of the state did not get to see him play. But, everyone must go by the same set of rules.
