Looks like the door is open for young players to step for the Bobcats.

Letcher Central had a similar type game last year when they beat Powell County badly in Stanton and then lost in the district tournament. Looks like that they can beat any team if the Cougars get hot.

Each team does have six games. As stated earlier Lee has 2 games remining with Powell, also one game with Owsley and one game with Estill.

14th Region June Buchanan and Hazard are the clear favorites. Letcher Central, Knott Central, Cordia, Breathitt County and Estill County are longshots at best.

Alot of people had an idea that Coach Bates would be leaving. I think the timing was the surprise. Owsley County needs to get the stability back and concentrate on the girls and the basketball season. I am sure the loss to Estill County was a direct result of the changes.
