The 56th district, as a whole, has been a dissapointment to me this year.

I saw Fleming play last year. They will be solid this year.

Under the new regional format the best teams may not be at the State Tournament.

This is correct, for many years all teams in our system are required to read and have their parents sign a form to this effect.

Hazard should be a force at the All "A" in Richmond.

Lady Pirates with a big at home over Perry Central. Powell got the lead with a 9-0 run, after the game was tied at 12, and ever looked back. Powell with a big game by Kendra McFarland who had 38 points. Stevie Rogers had 10 points and Powell held D.J. Shepperd of Perry Central to only 12 points. Big win for Coach Ken Jones and the Lady Pirates in the 14th region.

14th Region final is today, between Hazard and June Buchanan.

She started her career at Wolfe County and then on to Menifee County.

Coach McKinley has his girls playing well now. Should be an interesting 56th district tournament.

Franklin County is a up and comer. They have alot of young talent.

Bryan Station improving this year, kept it close.
