Quite a statement for Trinity. Seneca has shown how well it can play as well.

Trinity's defense controls the game and the Seneca press is not effective enough as Trinity took care of the ball!

 

Sewell led the way, Epley came up huge, and Corbett ran the show just like Trinity needs!

 

On to Lexington and we'll see what happens in the 5th/3rd

Pretty impressive win for Trinity considering Seneca has been on fire.

Trinity has established itself as one of the best teams in the state. Mike Szabo becomes the first Kentucky coach to win a LIT, 5/3 Bank Classic, and King of the Bluegrass. Josh Sewell scores 23 and wins tournament MVP, solidifies himself as a Mr. Basketball candidate.

Rocks looking "solid"(I know, pretty original).

Impressive W for the Rocks.

 

Seneca came in averaging 70+ppg and Trinity holds them to just 42. They are playing some very good team ball at both ends of the floor right now.

 

Josh Sewell gets my vote for early Mr. Basketball favorite. He was scary good this week end putting up huge numbers against the state's best.

This game played out about the way I thought it would with Trinity completely imposing their style of play on Seneca. The Redhawks had a mini-spurt where the pace picked up early in the second half but a timely timeout settled them down and they pushed the lead back to double digits. Great win and tournament for the Rocks.

Trinity has a very nice team and is very well coached. Nice, smart guards. I agree that the Trinity team is much better than they were last year.
