Final from Bishop Brossart. Paris leads wire to wire and holds off a very scrappy St. Pat. Congrats to both teams and good luck to Paris in Richmond.

The Paris Lady Hounds jumped out to a 17-5 lead and never trailed in beating the St Pat Saints. The game got very close as Rankin of Paris scored on the wrong basket. Parker knocks down 2 free throws, then later Rankin goes out of bonds and slams the ball at gets a T. St Pat gets within two at 37-35. The Lady Saints just couldn't get over the hump. Had a chance with around 42 sec left down 45-44. They tired to go down low and the pass was stolen away and Paris makes the free throws to ice the game. St Pat still had a chance with around 16 sec left down by 3 at 47-44 and Douglas went to the line and missed the 1 and 1.

St Pat played very hard and give it everything they had, but congrats to Paris.

Congratulations to Coach Brooks and the girls from Paris. You all played a good game and jumped out to the early lead and played hard till the finish. Good luck in Richmond and represent the 10th region well.

Coach Douglas and the girls from St Pat did not give up and played hard. Don't let this one loss ruin your season. You all play hard the rest of the season and learn from this loss and come tournament time you can make some noise in post season!

I was kind of hoping that the Lady Saints would take this one, but not at all surprised at the outcome. Congrats to Paris!

Defense wins championships and Paris has proven that on more than one occasion. Like the St.Patrick boys last year, has to be very dissapointing for Coach Douglas to not win this as a favorite.

Coach Brooks had a great game plan and followed through with it. I watched him during the St Pat and Bracken game with his asst coach's taking notes from tip off till the final hour sounded.

Congrats to Paris as well as a Happy Birthday to Coach Brooks. If I could be as cool as SMOOTH just one day in my life, I'd die a happy man ! What a class act.

Emily Hinkson, Kendall Cassity, Alexis Tye, Morgan Crain, Alex Rankin and Talaken Myers all stepped up their games during Paris' three wins. That's a credit to their coach, and to the players who wanted the tradition to continue.

I thought the whole team played a good game, but #20 (sorry don't know her name) had an outstanding game. One time she was 12' or so with back to the basket from the side turned shot a fade away jumper with defender in her face and nothing but bottom of the net. I was impressed with her the whole night!

That would be Emily Hinkson. She had a nice tournament and if they had one, would have been the MVP. During Paris' three wins, she totaled 39 points, 39 rebounds, 16 blocked shots, 13 steals and 7 assists.
