No way Estill County beats Powell County this year. Lee/Powell final.

All season long games are much closer at Estill County than on the road.

Powell is definitely a better team with Ryan Romans on the floor. Not only because he can score and rebound, but he gives a great deal of confidence to his teammates. As the year as gone by Romans has begun to control himself much better, thanks to Coach Lively. Great game for both. Should be great 54th and 56th district tournaments.

Is this the first time that we have seen this? No, Anything that involves the two time defending state champs will be analized to death.

Great win for Powell County. Campbell was not a factor at all due to foul trouble. Ryan Romans had 27 points and 20 rebounds for Powell County. Justin Hicks had 27 points for Hazard.

Good win for Letcher Central. Breathitt County has a great record, but if yoiu look closer at that record, you will see that the Bobcats have only defeated two teams with winning records. Hazard and Buckhorn both have winning records. The winning percentage for all of Breathitt opponents is only 38%. A soft schedule leads to a good record.

Knott Central had a great start to the fourth quarter that turned a 4 point game into a blowout. A classic 14th region game from the officiating standpoint.

Powell and Owsley split games this year with each winning on the others home floor. They will probably play each other in the opening round of the district. Should be another physical game.

Coach Lively and the boys are getting on the same page now. This one should be close. Powell by 4.

Good to see Leslie County playing well. Maybe someone will be able to take out PCC come regional tournament time.

Great win for the Lady Owls. I agree that this game was poorly officiated. I would like to see both play at full strength.

Powell County has now won 4 in a row. Kyle Lively and the players are beginning to understand each other. Great win at a tough place to play for the Pirates.

After seeing June Buchanan play Mason County on Friday night, I'll have to pick the Crusaders.

The game was very exciting from the tip to the final horn. JBS showed the basketball state of Kentucky that they are for real. I have never seen Perry Central fans, Leslie County fans, Powell County fans, Estill County fans, and the June Buchanan fans all cheering for one team. Last night the 14th region gained some respect.

I'll take Powell by 3 in overtime. Berryman and Christopher score 54 combined but not enough to stop the Powell TEAM.

It is amazing what a little confidence can do for a team. Powell is playing very unselfish and have evened thier record at 3-3.
