Final.

Anybody have any details on this game?

Good win for an up and down Paris team. Coach Brooks does an excellent job for the Lady Hounds

The Ladyhounds held Ladonna Turley, who scored only 8 points, to one field goal that came early into the first quarter.

Mac Whitaker was tossed in the fourth quarter after picking up his second technical foul. He got his first technical foul in the second quarter.

Harrison led 12-7 in the first quarter before Paris went on a 11-5 run to end the first eight minutes leading 18-17. The Ladyhounds outscored the Fillies 13-3 in the second period to lead 31-20 at the break. Paris led by as much as 13 points in the third quarter (36-23) before Harrison went on a 7-0 run to close the margin back to six at 36-30. Paris' Janette Pacas hit a running jumper just before the buzzer sounded to end the third giving Paris a 38-30 lead. Harrison got it to within seven points in the final quarter at 42-35 before Paris went on a 11-0 run to push the lead out to 18 at 53-35.

During the final minutes of the game, Harrison's assistant coach was called for a technical foul because he wasn't following the seat belt rule and the Fillies got another technical foul because they were out of timeouts.

Bottom line ... Paris beat Harrison County tonight and it had nothing to do with Mac's technical fouls. When Mac got tossed Paris was up 13 and had the game in control. Paris' quickness and speed was to much for the Fillies to handle and when you can hold Turley to one field goal, that helps also.:thumb:

When Paris can hit just a few shots, then this can be a dangerous team. If they would've hit any type of shots at all against Montgomery County, they would've at least had a chance to win that contest. But this team is young and still learning but once they do, they most certainly shouldn't be overlooked. And I agree, Coach Brooks does an excellent job and remember, he lost 12 seniors over the past two seasons.

Leading scorers for Paris: Nakita Jones 16, Janette Pacas 14, Emily Hinkson 11 and Lauren Forsythe 10

For Harrison County: Charley Hatfield 14, Laura Kendall 10 and Ladonna Turley 8

Harrison outscored Paris 12-3 from the three-point line but Paris won the battle off the bench by outscoring Harrison 13-2. Paris connected on 14 of 21 free throws while the Fillies hit 10 of 14.

Thanks for the summary. The score was a little surprising to me, if for no other reason than Paris had lost 3 of their first 4 games in pretty convincing fashion; in fact, their only win until last night was vs. Rose Hill.

Who was the official to eject Coach Whitaker?

I don't know who it was but I guess Mac got caught playing his middleschool kids again lbbc.:D

Nah, this was a good Paris team, not Bracken. :D
