Lutes for Breathitt had 34 points - Lewis for Leslie had 30

Was a great game. Leslie hit 2 free throws with 7 seconds to go in the game, Breathitt drove down and had a contested layup at the buzzer that just rolled off the rim by Lutes that would of forced overtime! I think these 2 teams, along with Knott County can give Perry Central some trouble this year. Will be a great tourney.

I am glad to see that someone else hasn't counted the Lady Patriots out all ready. They may not have alot of experience and they may not be very big but they have the heart to beat any one. They gave Perry a run for their money on Perry's floor. Not alot of teams do that. Breathitt looks good this season as well. I haven't seen Leslie play yet. How is Stidham doing this year? Is Boggs playing?

With no disrespect to any of these other teams, which I might add are good teams. IMO everyone in the 14th is playing for second place. Randy Napier and PCC is the best team that is in the 14th. Hands Down.

There a good team no doubt but they are not unbeatable IMO. If Madden & Sturdivent get in foul trouble or have an off night they are in trouble. Knott, Breathett and Leslie all played with PCC on their court which is hard to do. I wouldn't cancel all the 14th region games just yet.

I wasnt saying that PCC could not be beat. But to beat them PCC would have to have the worst game of the year and their opponent would have to play their best game of the year.

 

You are correct about Leslie, Breathitt, and Knott playing with PCC at PCC. The problem is that they played with them and still all three were defeated by double digits.

4th quarter, untill 3 starters fouled out.

IMO of the three teams listed that Leslie does have the best chance of defeating PCC. They have a good team the is centered around Lewis and they play extremely hard. Not to metion they are well coached.

Knott led all the way up till the 4th quarter. Then Randy figured out how to beat them.

Breathitt is a talented team, but they just don't have enough talent to compete with a loaded PCC team. Breathitt seems to have some good young talent, I believe a grade schooler name Noble. Leslie is also talented, but PCC is just loaded

I was talking about Beth Lewis. She is an all around player, not just scoring but she is a force on rebounds and defends well.

Leslie is very streaky....there are times when they can play with anyone and everything us clicking for them and then there are times when they looke horrible...
