56th District @ Owsley Co

Featured Replies

This could be a wild and crazy district being played on Owsley co floor they could be trouble for Lee Co and i feel like Estill is ready to take Powell Co out early.Could you for see a Estill Co Owsley Co final? Would that be wild what is your thought's. Dont you love this time of the year.

I feel that Lee and Powell are the favorites, but hey it is post season..anything can happen. There will be upsets this week across the state....this district could have a few.

I'd like to see Owsley in the finals, that's for sure. But they were hammered by Lee both times they played this year.

The Owls are playing a bigger lineup now, with 6'4 sophomore Jeremy Congleton now starting along with his brother, 6'3 Trey, and 6'3 Adam McIntosh. If they can handle Lee's press better than the first two times and protect the ball in their half court sets, they might have a chance. Being at home doesn't hurt, but it didn't help them the last time they played the Bobcats. Maybe this time will be different.

The Owls have had a rough season, but a win over Lee and a trip to the region would wipe away a lot of the disappointments, and give a big boost for next year (the Owls have all players back except one).

No way Estill County beats Powell County this year. Lee/Powell final.

Lee will beat Owsley but I think this one will be a lot closer than some may think. Powell will beat Estill in a good one also. The final should be a great game but I think im going to take Lee county to take the 56th district again this year.

Hey Professor i watch the game between the owls and breathitt the other night and the owl's seem to play pretty well with this lineup, they look alot better this time than when they played breathitt the first time. And i understood that the older congleton boy was playing sick that night. So i look for and upset against lee co. JMO

But i do think that either owsley or estill will pull the upset if not both of them.

That is true, the oldest Congleton boy was sick but wanted to play anyway. The Owls have improved over the last two weeks. During tournament play, you never know what will happen. The adrenaline is flowing and strange things could happen.... so who knows who will come out on top???? (I guess from my name, you know who I hope will be the 56th District Champ!!!):sssh:

I like Powell and Lee in the final. I'll take Powell by 5+ in the final.
