Big district win for the Lady Owls.:dancingpa

The score was 62-59, and this is probably the worst officiated game that i have ever seen. Owsley played without Teri and Sheri Gilbert who are both out with injuries. The Owls played the last 3 minutes of the first half with 4 jv players and Murrell in the game and was only down 10 at the half. In the third quarter 4 Owsley starters had at least 4 fouls, 1 fouled out, and were down by 17 points. Then Kendra Combs hit a few free throws and a couple 3's followed by a 3 from Candace Combs which brought the Owls close. After this Kendra Combs was fouled out. With 3 minutes to go the Owls stepped up and took a 1 point lead. Mika Turner iced the game with 2 free throws with 13 seconds left. The main factor in this game in my opinion was the officiating. The Owls fought hard to even keep close. Great job owls as they improve to 5-2 and 2-1 in the Districts. :ylsuper:

Great win for the Lady Owls. I agree that this game was poorly officiated. I would like to see both play at full strength.

Teri has a sprained ankle from the Estill County game and will hopefully be back by the Christmas tournament on the 20th. Sheri hurt her knee in the Hazard game. Im not for sure about how serious her knee injury is yet.

This sounded like a great game. I'm really sad that I missed it. :cry: Go Lady Owls!!!!:thumb:
