Powell seems to be getting their act together. If coach Lively continues to use his bench and keep fresh bodies on the court Powell will be a tough team to beat. Roman's presence on the inside will hurt Estill with the loss of big man, Clinton Dixon. If someone from Estill can stepup and attempt to shutdown Romans they'll have a chance of winning. If Romans is not stopped inside, and Powells outside shooting and break offense is clicking, i'll have to take Powell by 15+. 71-56

Powell by 10. I agree. Powell is starting to play a lot better. I think it was more of a team having to learn a new system.

I like Powell in double figures. But....... if the B/C combo lights up it could be close. B/C= Berryman and Christopher.

Powell must stop Berryman and Christopher to win this game. Powell needs the win to hold on to the #1 seed in the 56th district. Since the 56th does seeding these early season district wins are more important.

No question about it. Even with a number 1 seed and the tourney in Booneville it will be wide open if the Owls are the 4 seed. These wins are extremely important.

I'll take Powell by 3 in overtime. Berryman and Christopher score 54 combined but not enough to stop the Powell TEAM.

Agreed -Dixon's rebounding and post defense has been missed. But, on offense Dixon played on the wing most nights. It has been more than a few years since Estill has had a "true" post. They have some good young players that will try and fill that void in years to come.

Estill has nobody to stop Romans if he gets the ball on the post and gets his body on them. I haven't seen but 1 player in the 14th that may stop him and that is the big kid at JBS until he fouls out.

I think this one will be closer than you think....Berryman and Christopher will light Powell Up and I think that maybe it might offset Romans.....but I will have to take Powell by 5....

Watching Powell play OBI lastnight showed me two things. They play pretty good man-to-man defense, and their press offense and defense against a lightning fast OBI team was terrific. Once again, I'll say it, if Powell keeps passing the ball as well as they have been, subbing at right times , and hitting Romans in the middle, Estill will have a tough time beating Powell. Powell 10+
